Best player of the day was Andrew Jordan from Manual although only saw the 1st half. 1st time I seen him play in person and he is very good-shoots the 3 and rebounds really good.

How did Chievous look against PND?
???We all want Bradley to win. If our methods and visions for that are different, then so be it. Don't ever attempt to tell me I am not a fan!???

The Peoria Journal Star report this morning says Max Bielfeldt can and does play above the rim......

"..Max Bielfeldt showed the matinee crowd at Renaissance Coliseum that he can play above the rim.
Bielfeldt filled the lane on the break and took a dump pass from Brett Lane.
The 6-foot-8 senior elevated and hammered home a right-handed slam that gave the Irish a 39-38 lead."

In the PND-NND game, Max's team was down 10, went on a 13-0 run, and ended up winning the game by 10..pretty much all of that happening in the 4th quarter.

In the Central-IVC game, in the 4th quarter "Central (13-3) held IVC (14-4) without a basket and built a 16-point lead.."

And I doubt there was anyone who thought Limestone was going to beat Manual, and they didn't...
Donivine Stewart scored 24 points, and made the final outcome almost as close as those other two games.

BTW -- here's a nice column about ex-Brave Tom Les and what he thinks of the new BU facilities...

He looked pretty good, scored 21 points. I felt that he could have stepped it up a notch during the 3rd Q when PND was making their run. However, when he was on his game, he is smooth. I was also impressed by Rodney Pryor, NND's other senior star. The lefty had a very nice outside shot, as well as a tough inside game. Not sure if he's being recruited or not.

I still don't get how one dunk in a game certifies someone as an above the rim player.......

I don't have anything against max.... just saying.

as I had previously said -- he also gets 17 rebounds a game and many are above the rim

99% of the game is played under the rim.....I'll take a disciplined, fundamental, smart, talented under the rim player anyday

I was there the whole day and I must say that I was impressed by Max more than Quinton. Another posted said to me that he does all the work and gets his points on his own because there were few if any post screens trying to get him open, and I would agree, he was a very good down low and very impressive. And that dunk that people are talking about was great. I was right by the baseline on the side that it happened on and it was great.

The PND-NND game was definitely one of the better games of the day.

The Central-IVC game was great in the first half. Two teams with completely different styles of play and both had some pretty good offensive play makers. Then Central spread the floor and held the ball for 7:30 in the third quarter. Really ruined the game for any casual fans there. I understand that it's a fantastic strategy in HS with no shot clock, but I think IHSA needs to do something about it it really ruins good games. Edwardsville is really infamous for doing this, some of their game scores finish 20-25.
