  • Maniscalco's ankle

I don't think i've seen it mentioned in any posts or stories but it appears that Sam has had surgery on his ankle again. He was on crutches and I believe had a cast on at the last game, and still in crutches tonight. I was going to post it elr in week but I forgot. Hopefully it's just bone spurs and nothing more serious.

Sammy went to NC for the surgery, and missed a game or 2. I think there was a pre game interview a game or 2 ago where he mentioned it was additional cleanup of tissue and bone spurs, including one the Dr. mentioned may be causing a lot of discomfort.

Speaking of injuries, aren't we approaching the 3-month mark of no physical activity for Taylor Brown? Does anyone know when he is due to get tested again?
This is just the tip of the iceberg...

Thanks for the update, I figured I probably missed something since no one posted about it already LOL.

As for Brown, I thought about posting a thread for everyone to wish him good luck on the new heart tests when I posted this original thread. However I thought i'd hold off in case something had changed with his testing plans. It was probably late October/early November when all the testing was done, so his 3 month testing should be in February or early March.

Yes, it is close to 3 months, so the repeat tests should be soon.
And I talked to Sammy's dad last night and he said Sammy is doing great and expects a full recovery. Sammy had surgery 2 weeks ago.
It was mentioned at the bottom of this Dave Reynolds article from Jan. 6.

I talked with the parents of a couple BU players, plus I caught the pregame Dave Snell interview with Jeremy Crouch in which he said exactly the same thing...
That just about every kid playing high school or college basketball has a desire to play in the pros. A few know they have a long shot at the NBA but most know their best shot is in Europe, so giving up a college season to get healthy and preserve your career dreams is a tough but necessary decision.
