Wow I agree with Da Coach, echoed by BBrave, and I agree with JD.

Truth is there isnt enough talent here to be winning consistently.

But, there is better talent than 0-7

And the lack of depth recruiting wise is striking.

I feel bad for all involved.

Jake Eastman though a nice player is way over his head playing anywhere near the rim. He cant jump and unless it is an uncontested layup he needs to just pass it out when he has the ball anywhere near the block.

Same pretty much goes for Egolf, first play of the 2nd half we run a nice play to get him the ball on the block and he barely gets the ball to the underside of the rim on a lay up. He though has a nice step in 15 ft jumper. To bad we have zero ability to move him out of the lane or from the 5.

I am wondering if AD is brought up why it cant be told why he was not with the team last night? Seem strange to bring him up in a discussion by the board owner but not reasoning behind why he was not with the team.

Regardless, we would have a very competitive team with Maniscalco and Brown but our lack of play in the lane is sad. I would have liked to have seen a lot more of Prosser but he looks like he has very heavy legs, he was able to get to balls but no ability to get off his feet and go hard to the rim.

Just a sad state of affairs at Bradley. The color guy on ESPNU actually seemed to be very frustrated with the lack of our ability to make lay ups, told the TV welcome to our world, can get to the rim but cant finish... like watching a 7th grade girls team.

there aren't many DEEP midmajors with 3-Star kids waiting in the wings...

eight of our losses are by 8 pts or less, and I am convinced TB and a healthy SM would have made that 8-pt difference....and we'd be 14-4

          Of course you are....

I wish i shared your confidence.

Unfortunately we are 0-7 in the league...

You are what your record says you are.

For the record, the change I was referring to is not the same as what BB and JD are hoping for.

14-4??? Wow. The kool-aid is flowing freely where you are.

We had a healthy SM, TB, and AW last year and we were 16-15. Why would we be dramatically better this year with them than we were last year...???

ER...I have answered that question of your several times...

                1. other teams lost players to graduation.
                2. improvment from our players
                3. addition of JP and DD

SRW...I know some of us are koolaid drinkers...but you can not discount what has happened...

For starters, we've been told that this year's schedule is our worst in some time. That....and the fact the conference is AT LEAST as bad as it was last year. Why would SM, TB, and AW be the only factors that come into play when comparing records from one season to the next?
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

I predict when it is all said and done, BU starts 5 Guards in a game by the end of the MVC season....Just got to shoot 50%+ from 3 point land, 100% from the FT line, and fewer than 9 turnovers, and this works...
At least JL is showing different things, tying to find success. Probably felt 4 guards would be a mismatch for them with their size.

Isnt that a little like bringing a stick to a gun fight. They have size so I am going to counter by going small? If the small could shoot the 3 you have a chance but if the small players cant shoot or rebound or for that matter defend the only mismatch is well your not giving yourself much of a chance.

Maybe. But apparently he felt it was a better idea then our bigs against theirs. And watching WE get thrown around like a rag doll in the paint, maybe he was right. I thought we got quite a few slashing points last night from the guards.

We have needed our big guys to go through Tom Izzo type rebounding workouts for quite some time! We also have multiple players in our lineup who are playing out of their positions. Some due to injury, (DD) and some due to coaching decisions. (WE, JE) If we are 0-7 in the MVC with our lineup playing out of position, why not TRY to field a lineup in game situations with players in their more natural positions? Scrap the $%^& four guard lineup and get some of our other players game experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't exactly characterize les playing four guards as "trying something new."
