Egolf has a better chance of making his shot 15 feet away from the basket. He misses the layups. He had a hard time rebounding or guarding his man. Walt Lemon Jr. played well and seemed to energize the team. The Red Sea was loud tonight. We finally had a quality half time show, the acrobats from Chicago.

Have no-clue but when I left home for the game he was on FB.....I thought that was odd because the team would have been out stretching and such around that time?

Do not know why but he was not at the game...could be sick or something else....all I kept thinking was Coach Platt is gonna wear the 3 bigs out before the game even starts....being short a player in the bigs-warm-ups was like a firedrill!

              Game report from BradleyBraves.com
PEORIA, Ill. ? Missouri State senior forward Kyle Weems hit 12-of-14 field goal attempts en route to a game-high 27 points and senior center Will Creekmore complimented the effort with 20 points and 11 rebounds, leading the visiting Bears (15-3, 7-0 MVC) to a 78-67 Missouri Valley Conference men's basketball victory versus Bradley (6-12, 0-7) Sunday night at Carver Arena.

                A few observations...

Creekmore and Weems combined for 47 points and grabbed 18 rebounds. We only had 23 as a team, yet Prosser only plays 12 minutes (and grabbed 4 boards in those minutes). And Egolf had 1 rebound in 28 minutes.

MSU shot nearly 60% for the game and had 22 assists. On our home court.

                Where's the pride?

We may have only lost by 11, but we don't belong in the same gym with Missouri St. This game was never close or competitive. What's really telling is that they were a conference doormat just 2 years ago.

The return of the 4 Guard offense....

I predict when it is all said and done, BU starts 5 Guards in a game by the end of the MVC season....Just got to shoot 50%+ from 3 point land, 100% from the FT line, and fewer than 9 turnovers, and this works...

Jake Eastman needs to shoot the three.

Mo St was better, took advantage of our weak defensive fundamentals and seemingly lack of basketball IQ at times. It looked like they were doing anything they wanted.
Will is definitely playing out of position. Put him in at the 4 and leave him there as his mid-range jumper gives us another way to attempt to score. But that would involve us going with a TALLER lineup!

Very much agree that Jake needs to shoot the three. His defense still needs a lot of work.

The lack of a basketball IQ continues to alarm me as well. It's like watching a dog chasing its tail.

AW is forcing way too many shots in situations where a pass could open things up a little for the TEAM!

MK was there and I was hoping against hope that we would put him into the game in certain situations. Why not give him some game experience?

I do not think it is a matter of pride. It appears to be mainly a matter of manpower, and inadequate talent. We just are unable to overcome the losses of TB and SM, and have nobody who can replace what they could give us. Hopefully though that will change in the near future.

I hope so as well. We need a coach who will recruit talent and depth. We don't have those right now.

The fact that we're outmanned concerns me...not just this season.
But who do we have next season that will push around other Valley bigs?
TB will help, but he's only 6-6 and not huge.
No matter how good our guards are, we will end up losing games do to our lack of size & bulk.
