Molinari had A.P. for 4 years.
Jim had P.O.B. only 2 years.

NOT FACT ONLY MY OPINION ....
J.L. RECORD WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH BETTER WITH 2 MORE YEARS OF P.O.B.
    Yes the JL story....."IF ONLY".

I was not anti-JL a few years ago. He has given me the last 3 years to develop that opinion. I am for Bradley Basketball. JL IMO does not represent BB. And give me a break about minimizing or attacking JL's successes. You can count them on 2 games that BU won when he happened to be the coach. What successes has he had since?

Well, he has won a game in the MVC tourney in 07, 09, 10. he did reach the finals of the CBI and the CIT. He won a game in the NIT. He beat Illinois. He beat #18 UNI last year. There are times where his teams play at a very high level, the problem has been sustaining that. Last year on January 16 their season was collapsing after being slaughtered. They lost a close one at UNI after that then rattled off three straight wins, and with the exception of the two ISU games, played well the rest of the season. There are things you can call successes, if you choose to look for them.

???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

Yeah, you know, after 8 years, you would figure all the injuries and what not, he'd be more prepared and recruit to withstand such an issue...

But NOPE, just more excuses about buying in, not being ready, blah blah blah blah...

I'm sorry but most of us are sick of it at this point!

And the whole people trying to convert people...yeah, you can only be converted to another side if you believe in the other points...and in reality, cmon...half the stuff that retractors have posted is deleted simply because they are retractors, which leads to supporters responding in whichever way they see fit...

I mean it is what it is at this point, but this us vs them attitude is getting really old and stale!

We should all be supporting a common goal (winning) and right now that's the furthest from the truth given the posts I have seen.

Hopefully we can stop the what looks to be the winless in the MVC Redbirds this year!

Amen! It would never happen but I'd love to see an official survey done of the season ticket holders and the mighty BSS members to see what their thoughts would be to a coaching change. I'd be willing to bet that over 50% would accept change if BU made the committment to attract a quality coach.

How do you quantify that statement? What would constitute a commitment? What is a quality coach? I mean it sounds good and all, but can you be more specific?

I root for Bradley. I don't root for Jim Les or against Jim Les. I just prefer fair discourse. Statements like "after awhile you cannot use injuries as an excuse" make absolutely no sense, and are unfair. Rose-colored glasses are not totally objective, but poop-colored ones are worse.

Sure, first I would like to see Bradley commit the money to attract quality and qualified candidates from all over the country. That means starting with a minimum $500K salary and a total package worth $750K+. This would help to attract some top assistants from BCS programs like MSU, Duke, KU, etc. Don't say they won't do it because of Glasser's salary because no one knows for sure that that won't happen. She's a smart lady with a vision and she should be smart enough to realize that Bradley Basketball is THE marquee program at BU and the straw that stirs the drink -- enthusiasm and donors. It might just happen. Yajusneverknow.

We've already seen the list of qualified candidates that chitown (I think) posted. There are plenty of qualified coaches available right now. Plenty with an abundance of experience as well as plenty of hot shot assistants at BCS schools.

When I see schools like WSU, CU, MSU, UNI, ISU squared, make changes at the top and reach higher levels quicker and better than BU then I know that it can be done with the right candidate.

My thoughts exactly. If we commit to the basketball program in this way, good things WILL happen!

Good post. People might agree or disagree, but at least it is specific. The only thing I will say is that BU reached high levels quickly with Les as well. He has struggled to maintain it for a variety of reasons.

BU has not and did not achieve high levels quickly under Les. His 4th season(sweet 16) was a 5th place conf finish. I think its factual to state that this isnt a high level of success.

No, it's not factual to state that. It can be your opinion, and that is fine.
