A few digits pertaining to our season so far --
Out of 345 DI teams, we rank: (some stats from kenpom.com)
--317th in 2-pt FG% at 41.7
--85th in 3-pt FG% at 36.6 - mostly due to AW
--66th in FT% at 72.4 - without AW, we are 64.2%
--331st in offensive rebound percentage at 25.0%
--AW is shooting .422 from 3-point land, but .403 overall.
--As a team, we are shooting .406 overall, and the only regular shooting better than WE's .432 mark is JP at .559.
--AW is 46th in the country in FTM per game at 5.2.
--AW is 50th in the country in PPG at 18.8.
--WE is leading the country in fouls per game at 4.1.
I'm not entirely sure what it shows, other than we have to make sure we get AW the ball, and help him get open on the perimeter.
Pomeroy suggests we are going to win 3-4 conference games this year, a result not unlike what most of you have suggested.
If we identify WSU, MSU, INSU, CU, and UNI as the top 5 teams - in no order - we have already played four of the 10 games against those teams. For whatever reason, I like our chances to win five of the last 12.
Obviously, our season is over - let's start over and see what happens. 5-7 down the stretch is an attainable goal.
