That certainly helps in raising that rebounding stat...
At least in my mind I think that you have a better chance if you catch it...
Exactly.....but please sit the guy on the bench that actually knows how to rebound the ball!
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12
If the team was supposed to finish in the top three then I dont expect them to finsih in 9th or 10th. If WE or AT were any where close to all valley type players then finsihing 5th wouldnt be asking much. Who's fault is it that we dont have a back up pg? Whos fault that we have no big men that can do anything or even stay in the game?
I believe we were picked to finish 5th WITH those two. I would think 9th or 10th would be appropriate WITHOUT them. No?

I don't know, I mean this Indiana State team has played pretty well w/o Lathan and Kelly and even tonight they were barely factors...
I happen to not believe Kelly is one of their two best players.

No. 9th or 10th at BU should never, ever be appropriate. That means it was OK to be picked fifth in your coaches 9th year with all this supposed talent?

So you think with Sam and TB we are a fifth place team? If that were the case and they were healthy then Les would be gone anyway. 5th this year with a completely healthy team just wouldnt cut it. Lots of people on here think we would have been in NCAA contention or finished at least in the top 3 if healthy. Cant have it both ways.
The biggest thing for me is that this team has talent. It's just not being utilized properly. SM and TB would help, but not if other players didn't step up. DSE, Dunson, and Egolf need to play more consistently.

See...I thought so too, but even that I am really starting to question now...
I mean if we had a full squad we were still picked 5th...

I have to disagree here. I just don't see the talent. We have to many guys who are just average players whose contributions are minimal. When one of them has a break out game, it is a 6-8 point game with 2-3 rebounds and 1 steal or assist. Its just not enough when our best player is held in check.
JL's substitution patterns and player minutes are hard to understand. But he is the coach, so he should be trusted to make those decsions. And therefore he should be held accountable for the results ... which means he is not back next year ... at least if I was the AD. The clock has struck midnight.
And yet Eastman "struggled" to pull down twice as many rebounds as Prosser. Interesting.
If you watched the game you could identify him struggling to past offense and to defend guys much bigger than him. I feel I should be unsuprised that a guy who played twice as many minutes as another guy might pull down twice as many rebounds. I can also recall at least three three he je didn't get because he's just not big enough.
None of that matters though since you entirely missed my point. I don't have any problem with jake or his efforts. I have a problem with what position he's being asked to play.
