I for once can agree that there is no reason to make a move during the season. That is why I am waiting to see what happens after the season.

This was the first home game I have missed on purpose. I have 4 good lower bowl seats and I decided to do something more productive and fun tonight. It is too depressing to watch this team. I could not even give the tickets away for the game tonight. The last game the half time entertainment was musical chairs. I do not see any hope for next year with Andrew Warren gone. I am not sure that firing Les will improve this program. I think Bradley will win 8 games this year and unless Taylor and Sam come back, Bradley will be under 500 next year.

I think about turning away, but morbid curiosity keeps me watching.

          I couldn't agree more.

Les gets another year. Not because I'm backing up for him or anything, I just feel that the people up at the top will feel sympathy for losing your two best players, going in hoping to contend for anything above top 4.

They're going to tie it back also to new facilities. This is year 9, but the idea will be you don't let go of a coach no matter how bad it is when it's the first year of your new practice court/on-campus arena. Like it sends a message of a program in turmoil if your coach gets the boot after the first year of new facilities.

Oh yeah, and seeing that there are nearly 200 people online right now, you gotta imagine interest in this program is off the charts!

A new coach may not immediately improve the program....or maybe a new coach would improve the program since we do have some talent coming back next year, assuming many don't bolt under a new coach. Regardless, I'm looking for someone that can install a system where fundamentals reside on the offensive end especially in situations where we have a young team and/or not as many athletes. A system like Butler has where they recruit players who can shoot, rebound and defend with the same intensity night after night can overcome a team that has other deficiencies. That kind of system also makes it hard for a team to totally collapse like we have when a team suffers injuries.

I actually went to the game with my wife, only the 2nd for me this year. I wasn't going to go, but she needed a night away from the kids for a while. It was about half full, maybe a little more.

Firing Les may not help next year, but it will surely bring a much needed fresh start to a program that needs it.

And what message does losing more games to start a Valley season than in school history send?

Well you may be right, but that would not be my choice. He has under achieved the past 3 years to me. That was enough chance. With Taylor and Sam upperclassmen next year it would be too late for them to transfer with a coaching change. The new recruits could change, but it seems like a good year to make a move. If he still has several years left on his contract then they are stupid for not being more conservative.

And really, it's not like the current pres. had anything to do with his hiring. But with the amount of money on new facilities, he is basically gasping for his last breaths, aka excuses.

I can't imagine how angry the fan base will be if the 'Birds sweep us again, and they keep Les.

Especially this year. A ISU sweep could/should result in a mid season canning.

I said it earlier this year, but that game will be for the toilet bowl. Worst 2 ISU/BU teams in years.

I don't know, JMO - can we really blame JL for everything, it's not his fault that players can't make free throws or two foot layups. I'm not going to name names but some of our players just can't seem to get it together, whether they don't care because they know they will play anyway due to our lack of depth, I don't know. I don't see the effort.

This is the one exception that I could see Jim given his walking papers. But it's like the instant tickets in the lottery. The odds may be better to get a free ticket, but they are still a long shot.

And the pillow fight in St. Louis would probably draw a better crowd than a Trees game (even if they have a top 4 finish).

                              I agree completely...

Make the move and give the new coach a good starting point with Sam, Taylor, Dyricus, and whoever else stays...

I've seen enough or more than enough of what is to offer from the current and 0-6 should speak for itself and like I said, I am not even sure when W #1 will come at this point.

If they win, don't you think that he will just buy more time? Even if that one win is Drake?
