BU & ISU (red) have both started out 0-5 in conference?
When did BU finish last in the Valley? As long as I've been following the Braves' regularly (since '93-94), I don't think they have.
91-92 season was the 3-15 season(mo's first year), good for tied for 9th. 78-79 looks to be the same scenario. A last place tie. Before that you have to go all the way back to the 1955 year for a season that bad.
I can't find a record in the old media guides that is good for a solo appearance in last place.
ISU has 3 or so last place finishes in the last 20 years.
Now that we're both 0-6 in the Valley, I was wondering when was the last time 2 Valley schools were 0-6 to start the season?
Probably within the last decade, but I can't remember.
Kinda' funny it's ISU (red) and BU - the most unlikely suspects if you asked me who it would be any time before this season.
At least going back to 2003 there aren't any instances. The worst starts I could find were one from Evansville going 0-13 and another for Illinois State at 0-8, that did not coincide.

Indiana State had a pair of 1-10 starts.
I believe BU also started 1-10 in league play the year Gilbert got hurt. They won the league opener, and proceeded to drop 10 straight.

No, Bradley did not lose 10 straight that year (2003-2004), it was only 8 straight. And their MVC start was 1-8, not 1-10.
After Gilbert was hurt in the Pepperdine game, he missed the next 10 games. The first of those was at UNLV, BU lost. Then they won their MVC opener, and then lost 8 straight to start 1-8. But then they won their next 2.

Ah thanks for the clarification. After I posted was doing the math in my head, and thinking that I don't remember us winning 6 of 7 to go 7-11 (our league record that year). I stand corrected.
