  • Sorry, not excited by the 2nd half comeback

All it does is frustrate me even more. Showing we are capable, yet continuing to play entire halves the way we did the first half should be embarrassing to the players and the coaching staff.

I didn't hear the postgame, but I'm sure it was one of 3 things that Les has in rotation: 1. They aren't buying in, changes will be made 2. This is on me, changes will be made 3. We played hard and did some good things, just came up short

I was thinking hard about how to describe how I felt about this game.

I am more in the annoyed crowd too.

What's appalling to me is not so much they were 0-4 coming in, that's the icing on the cake. Watching the Drake game they had that killer instinct (not enough to win though). They should have come in hungry, trying to take advantage of the whooping that Indy State gave UNI.

Instead, the team in the first half actually seemed to not give a dam. Like they had better things to do than play ball on a Sunday night. Only after half time did they wake up and smell the fact that although the season will not match the preseason hype, they still should be competitive and try their best and give it whatever all they have.

          Numb....

Hard to be annoyed at the young men wearing the BU jerseys anymore....
          they are outmanned...

The upperclassmen's games are what they are by this point in their careers...
Won't beat a dead horse anymore with them...

Enjoying AW's breakout year....and watching underclassmen carefully to see who can step up next year....

Excited to see that they are capable of scoring a lot of points if they play as a team, lets face it, they are more fun to watch when they are playing better offensively, now they need to keep it up.

It is mind boggling how we could go 21 -56 for our 1st and 2nd halves last night. That has to be some kind of record, or at very least, biggest differential in many years. How bout gettin off the bus for once????? Trees are ripe for a loss and we're overdue. Braves get their only win of the month Wednesday.

You werent excited by the second half? They scored 56 points man! Warren scored 28 in the second half... how was the comeback not exciting...?! Jeeze lol we lost on the road at UNI..... not the end of the world! Sure a win would have been awesome, but man did they play well the second half. I think it is awful that even when our players do well, we still take away from them . All I could do was watch the play by play on my phone, and when the score went from 21-42 - 75-77.... you better believe I was excited, and proud that our guys didn't roll over and quit after the first half. Maybe Les gave them some of "Michaels Secret Stuff" at half time! Whatever happed needs to keep on happening. I am overall pleased with the efforts on the Iowa road trip. CLEARLY this team is better now than the 14 point loss they were handed game 1 at Indiana State. And frankly thats all I feel that I can ask for.

While I'm not "Happy" with the road trip to Iowa, I was not that disappointed. I didn't expect a W in either game really.
The problem was I don't see a lot of improvement from anyone - maybe DSE a little, but he seemed to struggle in the 2 games by maybe taking on a bigger role. He is now the 2nd scorer behind AW, where at the beginning of the season, we was expected to be 4th or 5th.
JE just needs to shoot more - at least 5x a game. WE continues to foul himself out of games. WL is a wild bronco when he plays and lost some confidence. Still time to see development of JP, WL, JE. Just wish it would come quicker. I'm pretty happy with what JP's done so far - it isn't fair to expect him to be a star already when he was only expected to give minimal contribution to a Valley-contending team at the beginning of the season.

We've reached the point where people don't even deny wanting us to play bad. Now they just flat out admit it.

Losing games is bad but you are right about being excited about our 2nd half, that is definitely something to build on, you can"t tell me scoring 56 points against a defensive minded team was not fun to watch, I hope to see us start winning games like 78-72 instead of boring games in the 50"s low 60"s.

I dont think anyone is happy with it, but you have to take what you can get. And I actually do see improvement, alot.... DD knocking down shots, 3/5 2-2 from 3 for 8 points while playing all 40 minutes against UNI, and 5/9 for 12 points at Drake, DD is shooting over 50% and is contributing decently, (also only 1 combined turnover in both games) as apposed to the first 3 conference games where it seemed like he was not contributing anything... Also maybe Egolf needed a big scoring game for him to realize how much he can do, could be a big confidence booster. I still think this team can earn itself 5 or 6 wins in the valley, and also I think we can sweep ISU.... I would bet on that actually... Who knows, if we keep improving, and Warren consistantly scores between 20-30, and Egolf plays like he did the second half of last night, were not gonna lose em' all. Lots of "ands" here, but hey, just following the trends this team is showing...

I also saw a lot in that second half to be encouraged by. AW now has the numbers and panache to be that in-your-face leader; he didn't have that before. I think this team will find a way to win a few games sooner rather than later. At least, I'm hopeful.

Ill be excited about the second half at UNI if it continues into the remaining part of the schedule. If Bradley continues to play with zero positive consistancy then this second half at UNI is just one nice half of basketball.
