I know this is an "exceptional" year, but when we start making excuses for our program and comparing it to bottom-dweller ISU Blue then there are some serious problems with our program. Even with our injuries this debacle should not be happening to our team. We have enough talent with the two seniors and Egolf that Les should have found a way to at least have them playing .500 ball. I know everyone is disappointed in our season but I am most disappointed in Les and the coaching staff that they can not find a way to get the most out of this remaining team.

I have a feeling Will will have a good game tonight against ISU with only 3 fouls. I'm expecting 13 points and 7 rebounds as well in a BU win!.

Nope fouled out again....he needs to be benched. It can't hurt this team anymore not having him in there. At least for a game or two anyway, make him rethink what he is doing.

i dunno if he could rethink what he is doing...

he has to be leading the nation in fouls.

We can still give him starter minutes, but take him off the starting lineup. I'd rather see him play with 0 fouls in the middle of the 1st half and see if it's a mental thing. Every time he starts a game now, he's got to be paranoid about fouling and it's affecting his whole game now. You still play him his usual minutes, just not the first 6 or 7 of the game.

You can believe as you want or think like Dave Reynolds, but you will not be able to refute these simple facts...

BU has been without two of their best 3 players pretty much all season, forcing several players to play out of position...
BU's two injured guys have missed 26 games combined.

and although I agree SM played 6 games -- it was obvious how valuable he is because we won most of them...and lost the ones he could not play due to pain...

Indiana State by contrast...was without Lathan for ONLY 3 games...and fortunately in that 3-game stretch - they played 3 of the weakest MVC teams whose combined Valley record is just 4-11..
and Kelly has missed just 5 games...so the TOTAL their two players missed is just EIGHT games!!! I love your attempt to make this better but its a bunch of BALONEY. ISU blue has a new coach (means a new system to learn), have played without their two top scorers (don't care who they played or where),were picked to be a bottom feeder this year(means Thur in ST.L.). Yes we would be better with SM and TB no question but our lack of recruiting talent is now very obivious. I don't care if you keep sticking up for this mess we are watching the majority of people on here disagree with you whole heartily. I'd like to join you but can't. You can sugarcoat this all you want but the posters on here aren't blind and stupid. Bottom line is we are not very good and there is a good reason why.
So is Dave Reynolds saying the Sycamores guys being out for 8 games is the same as the BU guys being out for 26 games?
BTW -- two other BU starters, Lemon & DSE have missed an additional 3 games...

So as usual, this idea that Indiana State is forced to play under the same circumstances as Bradley is just total baloney...nowhere even close!!

Here's one other comparison..the two teams have NOT faced the same toughness of scheduling!!

-Indiana State in their five Valley games so far have played 3 at home and the only two road games were at bottom dwellers (road opponents 3-7)
AND not one of their five opponents yet has a winning record!!!!!!

-Bradley has had only 2 home games, 3 on the road (road opponents 8-7), and 3 of five BU opponents have winning records while the other two are only one game from a winning record!
                    .

Does DSE need to be benched as well? How does it possibly help the team when he is constantly losing possessions?

He had 3 fouls until the last 35 seconds when the team had to start fouling to extend the game. Not sure why he's in the game with 4 fouls in a full-court/must-foul situation, but he did exactly what he's supposed to do when the entry pass came into his guy and put him on the line despite (I'm sure) not wanting to add another "foul out" to the list. Same story against TCU and E. Illinois (2 fouls in the last 30 second when the team is fouling to extend the game).

You want to bench a guy on an already depleted team that's averaging 11 points and 5 rebounds per game during the conference season because he commits fouls? Thank goodness your just someone complaining at their computer desk and not someone that actually makes decisions regarding this team.

Nope......you're making too much sense! Egolf needs to be benched because he fouled out of this game. Thompson should probably be a starter on this team.
