Can someone summarize what JL said in the post game interview? I wasn't able to hear it.

    Thanks

I didn't start him in fantasy and it was a good call till the last 3 min.
Sorry about your fantasy loss, FWO.
You hit it on the head, but the ease of scoring in garbage time should not come only in garbage time. Our offense should allow for DSE to have space to drive/dish. I saw a Saluki hovering over him whenever he was a step or two beyond the 3-point line. He needs a little space to get started on his drives and then he can attack the paint.
I think it's time for JE to step up to become our 3-point specialist while teams are blanketing AW. What's it gonna' hurt?

Oh you've heard it!!!! Trust me. Just more Blab,Blab Blab. I'd never call for someone to lose their job but this is real hard to watch. Not necessarly our team minus our two best players but the rest of the Valley teams just getting much better players and passing us up. Hard to prove but with SM and TB IMO we still wouldn't be in the hunt with WSU and MSU. Just about all nine schools have passed us with better and deeper talent.

          I would be interested, too.
I turned off the radio after the game, then a long time later, turned it back on and was shocked to hear Snell and DA wrapping up the post game

All I gathered is Jim must of spent 20 minutes in the locker room yelling at the team, (before the post game interview) and today's "practice was not going to be fun, and I've been there" said a DA with fear in his voice. I think DA said JL took responsibility, too.

Trouble is, JL has done all this before with this team and his previous teams...

From a purely outsider's viewpoint, for some reason, motivating his teams, or sustaining motivation, has been difficult for JL....

Does everyone like the Danny Adams stat run down? Can we cut it too maybe all the Bradley players and the top 3 performers for the other team....it takes like 10 minutes. "Joe Blow was 1-2 from the field in 2 min of action, he had 1 TO...oh sorry he was 1-3 from the field...etc...."

                all i do is laugh.

Just saying...not thread-jacking....but I would bet a guy like Howard could really motivate a team. He chest bumps players and breaks it down in the middle of Illinois' team circle before games. I wouldn't even care about experience or losing....atleast it would be a new face losing!

They have to fill the time with something. I like hearing the stats, but he needs to not say every player the same way. He was 1 for 2 from behind the arc, he was 3 for 4 from behind the arc, he was 0 for 3 from behind the arc. There are many ways to say "behind the arc" without saying "behind the arc" every time. It's the difference between reading the stats and communicating the stats.

He is doing a good job. Hope he keeps at it.

Would we have a couple more wins with the 2 injured players in, yes, but should we be losing games like we are without them, no. If anything our defense should have gotten better without SM on the court due to the advantage anyone else provides as far as speed. JL has fallen in love with a system that requires shooters and we don't have them, and I would not say we have done a very good job of recruiting it. We now have a problem that Michigan football has had which is trying to run a system that you don't necessarily have the personal to run. Rich Rod wanted to run a spread offense and it took 3 years for him to get the players ne needed and it still wasn't very successful. Without the correct personal it just doesn't work. This team seems very streaky when it comes to "buying in" as Les puts it and to me it seems that the second things start to go bad they scrap what they have been practicing. This is a team that almost seems to be being run by the indians instead of the chief and that signals more bad things to come......
This is probably one of the best posts I have seen in quite some time! Not only do we recruit players who do not fit into the system of choice by JL, we recruit guards who have very similar skills that do not fit into that system. It has been and still is my hope that the staff can experiment with substitution patterns and lineups that will cater more to our strengths. --whatever that might be-- This won't change the outcome of the games, but at least try things that are different Specifically, I would like to see Milos get more playing time in order to see what we have with him in game situations. We need younger players to get game experience. A person like Milos can not get that game experience riding the bench.

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

I hate to go back to this and I know lots bring his name up because of the Peoria connection and being close by at Illinois, but folks, Jerrance Howard is not and I repeat absolutely not ever going to leave being a top assistant at a BCS school to go to a mid even if that mid is Bradley in his hometown...

Jerrance has built his resume to earn a big time position and I don't think Bradley would even be on his radar if we came calling...

Also, there is that whole money thing...top assistant at Illinois is paid more than HC at Bradley...and it'd take him quite awhile to build his pay to that level at Bradley...

That said, I do agree with you that he involves himself quite well with the players, which is fine for an assistant to do, but not a head coach.

                        WRONG............

                        1. Jerrance Howard was making 120,000 a year and just inked a 3 year contract last summer giving him 180,000 for the next 3 years. If he stays all 3 years he gets some umpteen thousand dollar bonus. JL makes much more than that.

                        2. Jerrance Howard went 100 percent full out to get the UIC job. He interviewed multiple times, had the likes of Bruce Weber, Bill Self, and Deron Williams call and recommend him....I think Bradley is a better job than UIC.

UIC went with Howard Moore due to experience.....

Might not matter to Bradley considering what JL had for experience.

He has never coached at any level in his career, he recruits great for Illinois because he played there and bleeds orange and blue, do not see it happening.

Assistant coaching is still coaching. That said, "recruiting" guys have generally not turned out to be good coaches the last 10 or so years.
