DJ Richardson(yes I count him because he is from Peoria)

    Jamar Smith
    Matt Roth
    AJ Guyton
    David Booth
    Etc.

The list goes on and on, and most of those are just within my time frame of watching basketball. He is a good-very good high school basketball player. Not even close to top 15 in the Peoria area, even in the last 20 years. Every single one of the players on that list either played at the high D I level, went pro, or made significant contributions on a good to very good mid major team.
Marcus Griffin is the only post on that list. All other players played PG, SG, SF. Max might not go to a high major, might not go to a midmajor, might not even have a great college career. However he is more dominant as a high school player than alot of those guys were. Franky, AJ, Sergio, David Booth, Howard Nathan, and Livingston were players that dominated no matter what was thrown at them.

Roth could be controlled, Randle could be, Cole could be, Smith, DJ, Crouch, Ruffin could all be controlled. Not saying they weren't good just not to the level of the above group was in high school as far as pure dominance in a game.

I think Bradley is in need of a player like that.

Im sorry but if you don't think Bielfeldt could match these #'s or beat them I think your sadly mistaken.

        JP: 20mins per game, 4.4pts, 5.6rebs, 46% FT

        WE: 22.6mins per game, 8.1pts, 4.5rebs, 73% FT

        AT: 10.2mins per game, 1.3pts, 1.6rebs, 50% FT

#'s don't lie... And frankly 13.8pts, 11.7rebs, and a combined 56.3% FT out of our 3 bigs is a pretty weak production line IMO.

An injured SM can match AT averages at the 5 position so that is not saying much.

We would continue to be a #4 through 8 team in the Valley with "bigs" like Max.

So that makes the list 15

Randle only got offered from Duke and Illinois and McClain only won 3 state championships in a row and went to Illinois and had a pretty good college career.

McClain was more of a PF, Randle, on the high school team was a center/PF/do everything person , and Griffin was a true post. The thing is, Max would fit as a SF/PF hybrid at the college level, he wouldnt be a center because he is only 6'6". My main argument is that all of the players I named, and then you mentioning DeAaron and Big Mike mentioning Cellus, were all offered high D I scholarships fairly early in their careers. Max has only been offered by low majors. I would say he is possibly top 25 players in Peoria, with potential to move into top 20 area if he brings a state title/even state hardware to PND. I would still like to see him on the hilltop, but I understand if he doesnt want to go to BU because alot of kids from Peoria dont want to stay in Peoria for college because it feels like high school. Heck, I was the same way, I would have loved to go to BU but A. couldnt afford it and B. I needed a fresh start and Bradley was going to be high school all over again.

It's just more of the same... I think that I could reject the shot on some of the players in this video!

I just watched the video. He's a VERY slow leaper and takes much to long to finish inside 2 feet. Anybody with quick leaping ability that's 6'4 or better would eat his lunch any day of the week. What I saw shows me he's no Prosser, and is probably no better than a low-mid major player.

Max already has some D1 offers, so projecting him to IWU (D3) and Quincy (D2) is a little low. He'll end up at a decent midmajor D1 and probably develop into a good player, similar to Matt Shaw who played at SIU.

Prosser had alot of interest early in his high school career because he was mobile and pretty athletic as freshman and soph. Max took a little bit more time to get his mobility to wear it needs to be and is alot more athletic than most people think. He has put in a tremendous amount of work to change his body and athleticism.

Please name me a big guy Prosser had to play against that could maybe bang with him? Cody Funk (during his freshman and sophomore years?). Stop trying compare Eureka's competition vs what PND has played...

                      Manual: Watson, Roddy, A. Jordan
Central/Woodruff: K. Jordan, Kellum brothers, D. Lawson (now at limestone)
Richwoods: Cole, Fraizer, Anderson (Not all that big but physical)
Brother Rice: Egwu 6'10 (U of I Recruit)
                      Morton: Lundeen, Bisping
                      Galesburg: Victor Davis
Gary Lew Wallace: Brandon Dawson 6'5 (Mich St. Recruit)
                      Rock Island: Denzell McCaulley 6'8

Thats just quick thought of who Max has had to play against the last 2 years. That have size comparable to him. Compare Prosser Eureka Schedule to that and let me know what you come up with.. No comparison my friend! I think Prosser also had some of his scholarships pulled because schools either filled with other players or didn't think he blossumed into that high major kid that they thought he would early in his career.
Dumb argument, honestly. Prosser played AAU ball and held his own with the competition there. He's a legit D-1 prospect who was getting looks from Duke and Arizona early on. Geography does not determine talent. Does good live game competition help during the season? Sure it does, but it's not everything. JP has the potential to be all-mvc in a year or two. MB is also a good prospect, strong as hell, good post moves, but I don't believe he's as mobile or as polished as JP. JP even has a decent mid-range game that he hasn't even started to use yet because of this system.

I agree DC . I think Max will end up a very good Midmajor and your comparison to Shaw is probably very close. I do think his ceiling is higher then O'Rears and Shaws but time will tell. I'd love to see him in BU red.

Matt Shaw was more of an outside shooter that did a decent job rebounding.

Real fan- did you see Matt Shaw in high school? He was not an outside shooter in HS or in his early career at SIU. He attempted only one 3-point shot his freshman season, and was 0-1. He shot a few more his sophomore season (he made 26 in 33 games as a soph), but then the number of threes rose each year (43-123 as a junior, 52-162 as a senior).

I do think Max will become a more perimeter player in college, just like Shaw did.

nah, don't agree at all. have you seen him in person? he's actually pretty explosive to the rim and has a really good sense of positioning while rebounding as well as some solid post moves. mid-major starter for sure, he still has room to grow--i think he's a 4 or maybe even a 5 if he puts on another couple inches. one of the strongest post players we've had in peoria. can you name many who were better than biefeldt is at this stage? grimm, koch, marcus griffin and vershaw. biefeldt is better i the post than cole was at this stage.

Max had another good game again last night. 30 points and 16 rebounds against a bad Richwoods team. He will have a good college career. A team that runs a patient/structured offense and does not depend on players athleticism to create plays would be a good fit. If he can learn to play the 3 position he could be a stud for the right school.
