  • ESPN Lies

Prior to the game, ESPN showed a stat line that said Bradley had won 20+ games the last 5 seasons. I know they've put us in Indiana before, but it kind of makes you wonder what other stats they lie about. Earlier this year they said that Mike Miller led the NBA in 3 point shooting in 2010, coincidentally right after he signed with their baby the Miami Heat. In reality, it was Kyle Korver that led the NBA in 3 point shooting last year. Just makes you wonder...

I think the horse is dead when it comes to getting respect, or accurate data, from ESPN.

Has anyone thought about starting up a mid-major college sports network? That would require money, which I don't have... but wouldn't it be fun? I'd never watch ESPN again!

At least this time the misinformation made us look better, not worse.

And what was that garbage about mid-major and mid-runs?

Seemed like they were trying to re-define mid-major and they had schools like Butler and Gonzaga as a mid-major while other non-BCS schools were in another, lower tier category.

        Did I hear that right?

And inexplicably, some people don't like that.

Yes, what exactly did the 'Mid Run' thing mean? I agree, it seemed like they were trying to make the 'Mid Run' schools seem like some sort of fluke.

Correct. I don't like to have to rely on false information to make us look good.

Yeah that was just odd! But remember, this comes from the same network that invented the term "eye test". Why expect any less from them?!

What's so strange about that is that later in the game they talked about BU's injuries and how it hurt the team. Talk about contradictions.

It was obvious to me that the ONLY reason they brought up BU's 20+ wins each year (in slight error) was that they wanted to hype this game to anyone who was watching the opening so that they wouldn't turn the channel.

yeah i would much rather never play on national TV if they are going to get a stat wrong.
