  • Andrew Warren

I feel for the guy. He's getting every team's best defensive player and their whole plans are geared toward stopping him, yet he still plays hard and produces, while getting no help from his teammates.

By the way....he's made 40 straight FT, while who knows what the rest of the team is shooting. He was 8-8 from the line tonight, and at one time I saw on the scoreboard that BU was just 13-20 from the charity stripe, which doesn't bode well for the rest of the team's percentage. I think I heard Snell say AW is 4 away from the BU record set by James Gillingham.

AW was 9-9 keeping the streak alive @ 41 in a row now! Three short of James Gillinghams 44 in a row...the All Time Bradley Record!

I stand corrected! It would be neat to see him get it Tuesday.

I thought Phegley had the record.

I could be wrong, but I think Phegley holds the record for best career FT percentage.

So far the guy is a strong candidate for 1st team all Valley. I feel for him too, hopefully he gets some recognition for what he's doing for this team. I shudder to think what we'd look like without him.

That's correct- I believe Phegley's career FT percentage is 85.5%. Andrew's now is 85.0% after going 9-9 tonight. On the season he is 70-76 for 92.1%

Andrew has proven how really good a basketball player he is as teams are making it very tough on him and yet he continues to put up great numbers, he would have a chance at player of the year if he was on a better team, he has an outside chance of playing in the NBA because of how well he shoots the ball.

What has really impressed me lately is how he is consistently getting to the line with his ball fakes and drawing contact on shot attempts.

You all know I am an AW fan but what is really impressing me this year is his explosiveness and ability to go up in traffic and grab a rebound. I knew he could stroke it and score so that does not suprise me. He is playing with a ton of confidence and playing a great all around game.

BTW...I only watched the 1st 1/2 and it looked like DSE was regaining that edge that we saw last year!

I feel for Warren too. I wish he had a better supporting cast.

Does anyone else agree with me that WE is our 2nd best shooter?

I would not be disappointed if AW took 30 shots a game. He has an NBA style. This season might be helping him showcase for the league. He should get some sort of attention.

I think we have to finish in top 3 and he gets POY.

I disagree on the WE being the 2nd best shooter. He consistently misses free throws and I cringe every time he takes a jumper during the game. I would say Dyricus has a better shooting stroke and maybe Eastman as well.

Its funny you say that about Warren, my brother and I were discussing that during the game too!

WE is an exaggeration....but he has hit some nice 18 footers that are nothing but net and smooth

were you sitting behind me in section 10 lol?

I found this line in Bradley's Pre-Game SIU notes to be rather ominous:

"Warren's individual scoring ratio ranks as the largest by a Brave since Curtis Stuckey (25.1 ppg) scored 34.5 percent of Bradley's points during the 1990-91 season and currently ranks as the seventh-greatest ratio at Bradley since World War II."

                            We were 8-20 that year!
