but no place is louder than Koch Arena when it gets loud.....
It doesn't get loud as often or as continually as Cameron does, but here's what others say...

"Saturday, December 19th 2009, a decibel reading of 120 was measured from
midway up the stands (at Koch) in the student section during a men's basketball game
versus Texas Tech. Decibel measurements of 115+ were recorded several
    times during the event."

"First impressions of Wichita? Gold. Very gold. And loud. Very, very, very loud"

I don't doubt it does get loud. Like I said, just envious of them because it's not like they are a national powerhouse year in and year out to get those kind of crowds. They are a VALLEY school, and if they can do it.....why can't we?

My how the tables have turned. Like srw said, winning consistently has to happen to get the crowds rocking.
Oh yea, I have been fortunate to see some very entertaining games here. Perhaps one memory that really comes to mind where I remember the roof coming off our place is the putback dunk off a missed FT vs. Tractor Traylor and Michigan!

        WSU fans

I agree 100% with this comment:

"Several years ago in the NIT the Florida State coach said it was louder than Duke because at Duke you have 2 or 3 thousand loud students but at Koch arena it was 10,500 loud fans."

I really enjoyed the Duke environment and appreciate the success and tradition. I was ecstatic to have the opportunity to experience a game there. However, Koch - at least during my visits there - is both louder and consistently louder than Cameron. Outside of the students, one could level the same criticism of Duke fans as Bradley fans - sitting in their seats and not cheering. You do not see that on television as the cameras are only on one side and focused on the student section. At Koch, you have 10,000 people standing and screaming.

Now, I did not see a Duke-UNC game, but for a Bradley game, Koch is louder and more electric.

A lot of it has to do with arena layout. They don't call it "The Roundhouse" for nothing. Our Fieldhouse was MUCH louder than Carver for most games.

We appreciate the compliments Braves Fans. I'm sure most Shocker Fans would love for you guys to get back to Sweet 16 level, I'm sure it's just a matter of time. It seems like we get along with you guys and Illinois State fans more than anyone else in the Valley. I remember someone saying it's probably because you guys are too busy hating each other to hate us like the rest of the conference

Great recall!!!! Eric Roberson was the dunker. Absolutely electric moment.

Someday we'll have moments like that again.................I hope.

Was wondering if the Shocker fans have to stop cheering and wait for goofy promotions like giving someone better seats, watching a cactus race against other items, yeah I said that a cactus races, watch commercials on the scoreboard, listen to worthless PA announcements before they can listen to the band again with about 30 seconds left before play resumes. I doubt it. Also, don't worry about the older fan base. The majority of the older fans were attending games when they were younger and the younger fans today will someday be the older fan base. Once a Braves fan, always a Braves fan.
What part of illegal don't you understand?

You could feel the ground shake during the Michigan State game. Absolutely the loudest I've ever experienced Carver Arena.

But there was also a lot of green scattered across the arena that night.

                      Arena & Fans

This does not surprise me to hear about the arena or fans at Wichita St.I have been to the Valley Tournament the last several years and year in and year out they have had the most and loudest fans in the valley.I might add they are very nice fans having visited with several of them each year and end up cheering for them in the Championship game.Yes I am a Bradley fan but Go Schocks!!

Start playing home games at the APC?
