Have never heard of anybody buying tickets because of the halftime show, when your crowds go down in numbers your money goes down also which in turn does not give you extra to spend on halftime entertainment.

        autographs

Last night a few of the players signed autographs after the game. based on the masses leaving early, I didnt expect much of a line but there was. my kids already had posters but they wanted it signed so we waited. it was great to see DSE and AW interact with the kids. I talked to the new marketing person that was in charge and she said this was a trial run and they will do it 2 more times to see how it goes. sounds like she wants to do more family friendly promotions like the free admission for kids and the autographs rather than expensive stuff at halftime that no one watches anyway. needs more publicity but we saw it in the paper and online- hope more fans pay attention to this type of promotion

Sounds like the right thing! As a a person who only watches BU from my computer I know I do not watch because of some 1/2 time show!

I agree that the halftime and promotions are not why we go. I never said that. I was just raising the point that in a year when you could argue that we need it more than ever, there is less than ever. I found it interesting.

I think this is a great idea. My son, would love this.

But the problem is..doing this after losses isnt very appealing.

I think he played the worst of anyone last night. How many of his shots were lucky to hit the board, much less the rim.

I think you're talking about Lemon, right? Dyricus was 6-10 from the field and 2-2 from 3. He also had 4 assists. Pretty good game to me.

I thought Dodie's 0-7 from the field and 5 turnovers won the honor of worst performance of the evening.

So you expect them to only plan interactive things for when the team wins? You may never get anything at all if you ask for stuff like that. All the halftime acts, ticket discounts, free wings cant control the outcome of the game. My kids are too young to understand the bad loss but they certainly care if they get to meet players or get to be on the big screen during the game. I was unhappy with the outcome but my kids left happy so that means they want to come back.

Agreed...Dodie's second half yesterday was one of the worst halves of basketball I've seen a guy play in a while...there was a 10 minute stretch where it seemed like every single BU possession ended with either a brick by Dodie or a senseless turnover from him...brutal.

I think the word is starting to get out on WL. A high energy player who gives great effort. A slasher who is looking to drive. Take away his drive and make him shoot from outside. I am sure one of our coaches is working with him on his shooting form. It does need some help.

Yeah, I always think a guy who shoots 6 for 10, 2 for 2 from 3 and has 4 assists had a bad game. Thought it was obvious who I was talking about. I've learned not to mention names.

I think that having a bunch of players out often if the team is losing is potentially setting up the chance that the players will not be engaging and will create a different issue.

I don't think doing this 3 times in 16 home games would be considered "often". They probably could have picked a better game than WSU, but I'm sure they're leaning more towards the weekend games so that's kind of limiting. I would expect the other two times would be against Missouri State and Evansville since those are the only other weekend games (other than Senior Night). I think it's a great idea to get more young people involved and wanting to go.

Wichita State's big men were the difference. They have 4 big guys who rebound well, and can score inside and out. And again, Bradley's lack of a true point guard really hurt the offense.
I agree with you DC. I was really impressed with their bigs for most of the game. Very athletic, strong, and ACTIVE......and they had nice touch from 12-15 feet.....Blair impressed me the most I think.
