Was he a scholarship player? Why only one year? I was always fascinated with the Hugh Friday Pekin team's of the 80s and in transferring Chico's tapes I see him riding the end of the pine. Anyone know?

Got this info from the 1987-88 Press Guide-
#14 Scott Beccue - Junior - Guard - 5-10, 157 pounds - Pekin, IL - Pekin H.S.
Scott Beccue was a junior at Bradley when he joined the 1987-88 team as a walkon. He transferred to Bradley the previous semester after spending a year at Western Illinois University. His first year at college was spent at Eastern Illinois. 1987-88 was the only season he played for Bradley, but he got to play with Hersey Hawkins on one of the best Bradley teams. He was added to the team by Stan Albeck when preseason injuries to Anthony Manuel and Len Bertolini left the team short at point guard.
At Pekin HS he lead the Dragons to a 24-4 record (12-2 in conference) in 1984, and averaged 7.8 ppg and 1.9 rpg, and lead the team in assists. He played with Matt Taphorn at Pekin. Scott was honorable mention All State his senior year, and was named the MVP of the Pekin Holiday Tournament that season. He was a finance major at Bradley.
He played in 6 games (2 MVC games), averaged 1.2 minutes per game, was 0-3 from the floor and did not score any points. He did register 2 assists.
