  • Apathy...

It is sad. I am a huge Bradley fan, and I am currently so apathetic about the way this team plays that I did not even bother to turn on the radio. Do SOMETHING to make me excited again. Please?

Dude, you missed the Devin Hester interview . Then Ozzie and Big Z visited the radio booth, that was a riot (well in between the bleeps)

I'm there with you. And we are not alone. We're craving NCAA tourney bids and top 3 Valley finishes, and there is almost no way that's going to happen this year. Once SM went down, I resigned myself to a .500 year. I don't know of any fan of a sports team who gets excited over his team playing .500 ball.

I still care and will pay attention, but it's just not that exciting. Period.

Hasn't it been that way for quite awhile now? We've been around .500 in the conference for about 12 years or so...possibly more...sadly I can't remember that far back...

Also, sad as it may seem, Bradley and ISU may be fighting each other to stay out of Thu night...looks as though there are 4 and then the rest of us...although the Drake looked much better tonight.

I think the rest of the team did too...

Unfortunately a lot of us have lost the excitement because we really felt like this was going to be a great season and we actually had a chance at competing for a title then Taylor Brown is out for the season followed by Sam and know way can you fill the gap left by losing your point guard and your best inside player, we have been waiting since last year to get this season started and now once again we can only wonder what lies ahead next year which is a long way off, oh and by the way we lose A.W. and D.D.which will not help next seasons cause.

Agreed! I cannot believe all this negativeness! Really what do people expect when your 2 best players go down??? What really can you expect in all fairness to the team?

I'm sorry but no time soon is Bradley or any other MVC team going to have enough fire power to lose their two best guys for the year and just throw two more guys out there and be fine. If Bradley can finish .500 I give JL great props for that.

I guess some people will just take any opportunity they can get to knock someone down.....I really thought some people just did not like the direction of the program and I respected that opinion. But to sit there and act like this year should be great and everything should be fine with what has happened, you are just taking an opportunity to kick JL and the program when they are down IMO. Should we still be competitive? Yes, and I believe we have been in every game this year. Should we be expected to do what we were expected to do before? You're dreaming if you think so.

At least this season will make us much much much better next year than we would have been.

1 year of major minutes for all the guys....and bringing SM back....hopefully TB can stay in the zone. Hopefully MK JE AT get 1% better by next year

Do you think if Wichita lost 2 of their top 3 players to injury they would be happy with a .500 record? What about Creighton or UNI? Illinois?

He!! no! Nobody's happy here about Bradley's record ancona. So let's just get off that horse. But the fact is, if any of the teams you mentioned lost their top 2 players they would be in the same boat as BU (with the possible exception of Illinois). And you know what? None of those teams fan bases would be happy about a .500 record......... But there would be absolutely NOTHING that they could do about it. So just accept what this season is, sit back, and hope this team fights to the end and every player (and coach) shows improvement throughout the season and makes the most of their chance.

First of all saying Bradley should be like Illinois is stupid. And to all the other ones?? Yes I do, and even if they weren't happy about it that's probably what they'd get....

Even Illinois without McCamey and whoever you consider their second best player wouldn't have near as good of a record as they do now.

Ok, I shouldn't have put Illinois in there. Not the same type of program. I didn't compare the two, but can see where you could leap to that conclusion.

But is it so wrong to expect us to be better than what we are? Even without SM and TB you can't honestly tell me we should have got beat by Eastern home or blew that lead at W Carolina. There's 2 wins right there and we're 8-4. And then to not be, to quote WE, "ready to play tonight" at InSt..........To me, that's frustrating, correctable, and a chronic symptom of the program that's been there for a while now.

On the positive, there's young players that are showing promise (JE, WL, JP) and I think Warren is having a great year. Dodie's a class guy. Lots of reasons to root for this team aside from just being born and raised a BU fan. I hope we see them get better and peak late. It's a long season and anything can happen.

If this team shows up every night in a weak Valley this year, above .500 is reachable in my opinion.
