There have been cases seen and heard about players that blossom their Jr and Sr year. Imagine that?

And for every 1 case where a guy "blossoms" into a quality player in his Jr. and Sr. year, there are 100 cases where the guy just never pans out at all.

As it stands now, we're gonna have 4 scholarships tied up in guys next year that are failed projects thus far (Milos, AT) or projects that haven't even gotten underway (Davis, Wells). That's not a good way to start...

Fact is, good programs do not sit around and wait 2 or 3 years for a player to blossom. So Odiakosa turned out to be ok, but he was not good enough to take ISU any where at all, even with Osiris. Fact is that Milos is never going to turn into a player that is going to take Bradley anywhere. Players like Lemon, DSE, Eastman, players that show a little bit of light their first year or so, those are the players that can take us somewhere.

And honestly it is no excuse to say hes only 20 and unable to drink blah blah blah. Tell that to NBA'ers that are 19 or 20 years old. Cannot make an excuse for someone when others have proven that age is not an issue....It also does not take much to see that milos has no work ethic at all.... we have all seen him play, it is a scary sight... when he does score he celebrates like he just caught a pass in the endzone in an NFL game. Its ridiculous. If he wants to develop he needs to go somewhere he can play- since he will develop faster actually playing at a lower level than riding the bench at a higher level.

Milos may be a great kid, or whatever you want to say, but he has shown that he is clearly not a division one basketball player. Im 21, I am a good kid, college student, the whole package. I love basketball, but I dont play, I know I am no division 1 Basketball player. I do not expect people to feel sorry for me, nor do I feel bad for others that simply arent cutting it.

Long story short, it is hard to say, but his scholarship is taking up space, and is preventing us from potentially finding a future stud for our team. All this, is just MHO

With a little thought you should be able to narrow it down to 2-3 current players......

I wasn't trying to compare the players' abilities; only giving an example.

Odiakosa had such a poor freshman year that PM decided to RS him in his sophomore season.

That extra year turned him in to an All-Valley performer, and he is now doing well overseas playing in Spain.

My point was sometimes the player you least expect blossoms into the player you hoped they would become.

Milos is a good friend of mine, and I know how hard he works and how badly he wants to be a major contributor to your team. He just might surprise you someday.

No doubt he is a really good kid and a good team mate as he is usually the first one off the bench to congratulate his team mates during a time out, unfortunately I think if he wants to actually play a lot then he needs to look elsewhere because he has hardly played in 1.5 seasons here and cannot get better while watching everyone else play, I hope he does get better but I don"t see it happening here.

But I thought BU was the land of family...of integrity...where no kid's scholarship would ever be rudely "janked" away from him...(other than Cole-Scott, Austin, Jassey, et al., of course...)

I'd be ecstatic if two or more of those four guys didn't make it back to campus next year...and were replaced with some JUCO talent that could contribute right away...but how is it going to 'magically' happen if that isn't something that our program ever allows???

My goodness....everyone is so negative on MK. Weren't people very negative on JC after his sophomore year too, saying he should transfer and all? Milos has had some good moments, he does have potential and is only a sophomore jeez.

To say you be ecstatic if a kid would not be here is a little harsh to a kid man, come on. These are college kids that deal with a lot, and some will make it in basketball and some won't, not every kid on a mid major team is going to pan out. But there is still time with only 1.5 years into a career! At the very least he can be a guy to come off the bench and shoots 3s when he develops, a very important role IMO. This is not professional sports as much as some people treat it like it is. Should these kids have to be good ball players for their scholarships? Yes, but if you think all the major big men who can step in and contribute without being projects are going to come here over Duke/UNC/Kansas/Kentucky/ECT you are sadly mistaken.

Teams like Bradley have to take chances.....tell me of the 4 kids that you would be ecstatic to lose, which one of them would you have not signed at the time??? How did anyone know they wouldn't pan out (if they all don't as 3 of the 4 still have a legitimate shot).

Exactly! There have been a lot of good kids that have come through Bradley athletics over the years that didn't "pan out". They were kid kids, good students, good "practice bait", good teammates, and are now good alumni. I'm sure they'd be a little offended by your "ecstatic" statement. I know I am.

First of all we all hope Taylor will be healthy and able to play, Sean Harris is a juco and should help us which gives us plenty of bigs since Will, J.P. and A.D. will also be here which is one of the reasons why Milos is going to have a hard time finding minutes, A.T."s minutes will also go down unless he all of a sudden becomes more of a contributor then he is at this time, if for some reason 2 players do not return that still only leaves us with 1 scholarship because Sam will return, only 2 types of players I would want, a 6-9 power forward that is already skilled or a 6-4 or taller 3 point shooter.

Sounds good to me.
What can SH give us? All I know is he is 6' 7" from Yuba, and he looks skinny.
Does he shoot well? Will he help on the glass? Good ball-handler?
I don't know much about him, but seems like there is a lot of upside from everyone's attitude about him coming next year.

Don't forget that it is still a thought that we will get Michael Ocherobia. According to FutureWalkOn he still plans to come to BU.

difference between JC and Milos was JC had a pretty good freshman year.....Milos moments were few and far between I'm afraid....and there is no comparison in basketball IQ
