DS and his Rockets had a very good game against a very bad Freeport team. DS shot the ball very well and ran the point well. Watched a little of the kid from Mt. carmel who signed with the Illini. He did nothing while I was there.Left the game hurt late in the 1st quarter. Hope MC wins so he and Donivine can go head to head. I really think we got the better of the two. Hope so anyway. Time will tell. Go Braves.

Abrams is a STUD. of course time will tell though.

These two have been consistently rated #1 & #2 as PG's in their class ever since they were freshman. Abrams has probably pulled ahead of Stewart the last few years because he is at least 2 inches taller, quicker, and appears to be a better athlete.
However, I think Donivin has the potential to make a bigger immediate impact in college due to the level of competition that he will play against. I also think we got the more disciplined true PG of the two and I think BU fans will be very happy that we got Donivin Stewart to come to The Hilltop. (Of course, I also think Illini fans will love Abrams and I think he has the better chance of being an NBA player).

Tomorrows game will not be a fair comparison as Mt. Carmel is far deeper, quicker and more athletic than Limestone.

Watched both games all the way through. I've seen Stewart play 6 times in his career at Limestone, and this game he seemed a little disinterested after awhile. He still shot the lights out, making one buzzer beating three, but he didn't seem interested in rebounding and helping defensively today, but that may just be because the game was not competitive for the longest time. His knack for passing and making assists is obvious too.
Abrams, in the 3 games I've seen him play over the last 3 years, seems to be a superior athlete. Running faster, getting steals, crashing the boards, it seemed he could jump out of the building. His shooting didn't seem impressive though.
I think Stewart will be a better fit for BU, who will need starting PG soon, while Abrams seems to resemble a SG in a PG body, who isn't a consistent shooter. Walt Lemon Jr. seems to resemble that kind of player so far.
but I'm no professional scout.

I was at the game sitting near Coaches Les and Vogt.
Donivine had an easy 15 pts in the first half and didn't need to score in the 2nd half since the game was a blowout. I thought Donivine looked bored. Will be nice to see him matchup against some good competition tomorrow.
One big difference between DS and TA was that DS never crashed the boards whereas TA did. Although DS wasn't recruited to crash any boards....

Remy Abell's team, Louisville Eastern HS, is in action this afternoon at the 22nd annual Junior Orange Bowl Classic in Miami. They play against South Dade High School in the first round today. The tournament has several great teams in it and will be a good test for Eastern. The tournament runs through the final on Thursday.
