Didn't mean Peoria kids. Was referring to someone of Max's size and skill from the inner city in Chicago. If Max was an inner city Chicago kid, this conversation wouldn't be happening.

Max is a downstate non inner city kid and Chicago fans probably don't know about him. It's only logical that fans from this area know the local kids and fans from Chicago know the Chicago kids.
What part of illegal don't you understand?

I would disagree in this day and age, and I think you're kind of missing my point on this.

IMO, the majority of fans don't follow high school sports outside the local area. I think I get your point and I just don't agree.

              Fair enough. Agree to disagree.

Maybe I gave Egolf too much credit. The times I have seen him play live and on TV / Computer he can get up pretty good.

He did high jump something like 6'6 when he was a HS SR, but maybe the knee injuries have hurt his leaping ability some.

Here is a picture of Will in high school before his knee injury/reconstruction. He was quite a leaper, but I think he's lost a little vertical since the knee injury.-

Yup. Still waiting for that talent to be realized. It's gettin' awfully late for him...

Above the Rim: Dunking with authority easily and consistently, Not Bradley

Below the Rim: Laying it in everytime, Bradley

I would say the closest thing to an "above the rim" player that BU has had in the past few years are:

                        Chris Roberts
                        Boogie
                        Zach Andrews

just my opinion of course, but those 3 are the only ones in recent history that could be even considered as an "above the rim" type player.

I think you could easily add Theron Wilson to that list!

closest thing?? If there were a prototypical "above the rim player" anywhere in college baskletball the past few years,
it has to be Chris Roberts...absolutely has to be........
He made a living with high flying dunks that made ESPN....and it even earned him a chance at the college slam dunk championship
(which he shoulda won)...and a chance to be on the Globetrotters!!

If Roberts is only the "closest thing", then please, someone name the real thing because it doesn't exist if it's not CRob!
Chris Roberts dunk on Sportscenter vs. Creighton 3/5/10

I was just answering your question. You asked if someone could name ANY "over the rim" type player in the whole MVC, and I named 3 that played for Bradley alone in the last 6 years. Dont jump on my case because you wanted an answer to the question....

The reason I didnt put Theron on this list is because he had a more overall game, I felt that Boogie, ZA, and CR all played mostly above the rim.

jrish...I know and I appreciate it and agree with ouy for the most part......
but there must be a misunderstanding with regards to how this topic started...
that post of mine was in defense of Max Bielfeldt and was in response to a post way, way back on the 1st page...

it was not aimed at you at all.........
and I would agree a few MVC players occasionally are above the rim player..but not many Valley post players have even been described as such...
thus my contention that we would be crazy to turn down a kid just because he's not an "above the rim" player...we'd be waiting forever!
