He did high jump something like 6'6 when he was a HS SR, but maybe the knee injuries have hurt his leaping ability some.

I would say the closest thing to an "above the rim" player that BU has had in the past few years are:
Chris Roberts
Boogie
Zach Andrews
just my opinion of course, but those 3 are the only ones in recent history that could be even considered as an "above the rim" type player.

it has to be Chris Roberts...absolutely has to be........
He made a living with high flying dunks that made ESPN....and it even earned him a chance at the college slam dunk championship
(which he shoulda won)...and a chance to be on the Globetrotters!!
If Roberts is only the "closest thing", then please, someone name the real thing because it doesn't exist if it's not CRob!

The reason I didnt put Theron on this list is because he had a more overall game, I felt that Boogie, ZA, and CR all played mostly above the rim.

jrish...I know and I appreciate it and agree with ouy for the most part......
but there must be a misunderstanding with regards to how this topic started...
that post of mine was in defense of Max Bielfeldt and was in response to a post way, way back on the 1st page...
it was not aimed at you at all.........
and I would agree a few MVC players occasionally are above the rim player..but not many Valley post players have even been described as such...
thus my contention that we would be crazy to turn down a kid just because he's not an "above the rim" player...we'd be waiting forever!
