Like it or not, I think Jank does a pretty good job utilizing his big men down low. (Gee...what a concept) I fear they will hammer us on the offensive boards again this year....

Hmm..Jackie Carmichael has 14 offensive rebounds this season....about one per game.
Blake Mishler -- who plays half as many minutes at Carmichael, has 20 offensive rebounds..
And even tho Bradley is a weak rebounding team, both of our centers (Prosser & Egolf) have considerbly more offensive rebounds than Carmichael, and even Andrew Warren has almost as many.
Tony Lewis is the only Redbird anywhere close to the top rebounders or offensive rebounders in the MVC (the top 16 are listed in the MVC stats),
BUT -- keep in mind that offensive rebounds are often a factor of the number of missed shots a team has -- especially the number of missed long shots where the rebounds often carrom long and are easier for the offense to snag...
ISU just happens to be one of the worst two 3-pt shooting teams in the Valley (29.1%), and they've played the worst slate of opponents, way way worse than the next worst SOS in MVC play -- thus they are obviously racking up their stats against a weak caliber of opponents.

I agree that our competition has been weak, and I agree that we miss a ton of 3's.
With that being said, we tied with WSU for most offensive rpg. Carmichael isn't a great rebounder. I'd put him as the 4th best on ISU. Ekey averages less, but also plays alot less than Jackie. Bradley's 4th best rebounder is DD.
Who do you think is a better rebounding team?
