Absolutely true, but JL should get a pass this year with the 2 injuries. Most major programs would fall way off if they lost their 2 best players. A lot had to go right for Bradley to finish in the top 2 or 3 of the MVC and almost everything has gone wrong. The worst part IMO is how they are playing and losing. Missed lay-ups and unforced turnovers with no offensive rhythm and inability to run a fast-break makes me want to wait for next year.
I can do all things through pasta, which strengthens me.

You, dru, and ER just showed that's what happens.

And of course, I'd rather see wins. But I am a fan, and I'll be at the game tonight supporting the team.
I've never tried to play it both ways...I've thought the talent level we've had here has been better than the results...pretty much every season since the 06-07 team. I've just never been a fan of the system we run on both ends of the floor...Too much 1-on-1, "here's a high ball screen, now make some magic happen"...it works if you have someone like Kobe or LeBron ending up with the ball in their hands, but not so much at the level we're at.

But I'll be there tonight...we'll see if we have been able to make any adjustments during the long layoff...

Didn't he already get a "free pass" for last year, though?
Going 16-15 with a team that had "3 all-conference caliber players" (SM, TB, AW) plus Chris Roberts and Egolf? That doesn't seem to be a very solid job to me.

Still waiting for DD to play well in a game, but many of you think he's an all-around solid player. Add to the mix a couple Valley 1st/2nd teamers who are injured.
Still think we're in the Top 3 talent-wise in the Valley. Just a matter of puttin' in together. Hopeful about tonight (like I am going into every non-Duke game )
The 38 min. 0 turnover performance from Dodie againts Duke didn't satisfy you?

O.k. - I guess I'm being too harsh on him, but from all the talk on this site about how great he is and that we would have finished Top 3 and 20+ wins if he didn't get injured, I've been disappointed. We DO need him to play solid at the point until DSE returns...well, even after now that I think about it.
Just seems like he has no outside shot and his defense is not outstanding IMO - the games I've seen him play anyways. Don't want to take anything away from his hustle and intensity, which are great.

Offer fans who show up tonight a free small drink and a regular hot dog, and presto, more fans in the stands!

Better yet, offer the free drink and hot dog at a future BU home game to anyone who shows up tonight!

Could show TV in one of the Civic Center Ballrooms of the Bears game, show highlights on the video scoreboard. Let fans in and out during the game to see the Bears...

Anyone who attends all pre-conference games in person get discounted drinks during future MVC games....or gets entered into a free suite drawing for each of the Conference home games etc.

Just need to be creative in marketing your product....

I don't think the crowd is going to be very large tonight. The weather will be the excuse many will use, the Bears are on will be another. But, IMO, many border fans, bandwagon fans, whatever else you want to call them...will stay away because of the product being put out there.

I don't know about other schools and their fan base, but with BU, if the team isn't playing well and winning, not many fans will come out. They may keep paying for season tickets, but actual butts in the seats is a different story!

I would love to be there tonight cheering on BU but I can't be...

The Braves are playing. It's simple. Be there. I'll be listening to Dave and the Dans and will be wearing red.

I know some people with season tickets that haven't been to a game yet, and they live in Peoria.

Its never smart to play a game the same time the Bears are playing...period!

As much as I'd like to be home watching the Bears win the NFC North (optimistic, huh?), I will be at the CC pulling for the Braves!

FWIW, a search for two lower bowl tickets on Ticketmaster gives you section 17 row F (front half of section) and upper bowl is section 1 (midcourt) in row 10 (they start at 6 - fifth row of upper bowl). With the Bears possible clinching tonight, I'm thinking the last minute walk ups will be far and few between too. Even in an above average year though, this game has all the makings of having low turnout (weather, opponent, break game, other sports on, etc.)
"We're sitting here, and I'm supposed to be the franchise player, and we're talking about practice. I mean listen, we're sitting here talking about practice, not a game, not a game, not a game, but we're talking about practice"

I disagree, but then again, the NFL doesn't dictate my social calendar.

I have constructed a plan in which I will watch the Bradley game and return home to watch the Bears on DVR.

You man they have machines that take TV shows and save them for you? I have something under my TV that I think you are supposed to put big black rectangle thingys in. Will that save a TV show for me?
