Thats a highlight clip from PND game vs Richwoods last year... Max has lost about 15lbs since and add more range, mobility, and atheticism since then. Doesn't look like he is a below the rim player to me. As long as the ball goes in the hoop im ok with it. PRODUCTION!!!!

I saw this video before I made my previous post. Look at the size of the players that Max is going against. He is a 6'8? player with a wide body going against smaller competition. I would expect him to dominate and a lot of his moves in this video are below the rim with the exception of an uncontested dunk or two.

You can say the same about a player leaving the area as well. There is pro's and con's to college decision.

They aren't even giving themselves a chance because they didn't offer and have no room to offer now...

From what I understand MAX told BU quite awhile ago he was not interested in playing in Peoria, unless you have talked to him about this quit making statements that BU in not interested, he was the one not interested.

Eddie Mathews, the coach at Notre Dame, and Jim Les have a friendly relationship.
Jim Les's son played with Max at Notrer Dame.
Max's grandfather, while giving a ton of money to The Illini, his alma mater, also donated several million to Bradley.
If Max had any desire to be a Brave, he would have recived an offer.
He does not.
He really wants to be an ILLINI!

I know Max personally and I can guarantee you he will not go to Bradley, nor U of I. Max wants to make a name for himself and I assume that he is out there trying to prove something to people.

I agree 100% with this , why do people not understand that a player does not wish to play in his home town, this happens a lot and is the main reason why it is harder to recruit local players, I hope Max gets to play wherever he wishes because he appears to have really worked hard in order to achieve his goal.
Just thought I'd let everyone know, Dylan Sparkman again posted a 20+ point game last night. 23 points. Him and Kelch combined for 46. Hmmmmmmm, and BU recruited a guy that's 7 foot that averages how many ppg again? hmmmm

Did every D1 coach miss out?
This is a great decision by Dylan. He can be a star at the D-II level, whereas I believe he would have been an average player at the low D-I level, and a 4-year backup at the mid-major level.
However, if he really excels at the D-II level, there is no reason he couldn't make the move to a D-I school after a year or two...it is not totally uncommon to see that type of move.

Ptown...don't take this wrong..but I cannot recall a single kid of any significance who went from D-II to D-I...can you name one?
Lots will go from juco to D-I and lots go from D-I to D-II...
..and some, like Marcus Arnold, will jump from a lower D-I level to a higher level thinking their talent is too great to waste at a mid-major..
I think the reason is that no matter how good a D-II or a D-III kid is -- he's not likely to be such an impact at D-I that it would be worth the transfer and sitting out a full year ...
The only basketball player I can think of was Kobby Acquah (who you may have never heard of) who transferred from Clark (Atlanta) to SIU but...
..it turned out to be kind of a waste of his time playing basketball at SIU as in the year he was there, the 7-footer played only a handful of minutes in just 8 games...
scoring a grand total of one basket and two pints at the D-I level.
UNI's Matt Schneiderman was also at a D-II first but he left there when the program disintegrated and everyone from the coach on down also left and went elsewhere, and their program shut down and re-emerged as an NAIA....so I really can't fine an example of a kid who jumped from D-II to D-I because he was good enough to make the move.
