I talked to him last night and he said he may try to go but wasn't sure. Don't think they will need him tonight so not sure what Sparrow will do if DS says he can go. Sorry not much help but he wants to go tonight

What an optimistic way to turn a phrase.

The Iowa-Illinois Shoot out game between Davenport West and Moline was taken into overtime due to a score tying 2/2 from the free throw line by Wells. The score remained tied in overtime with Moline scoring two free throws leaving 2.6 seconds left in overtime. Wells and Joe Scott led Falcon scoring with 12 points each with Jordan Hughes scoring 10 points.
I know a loss is still a loss, but geez Da Coach... give the Falcons some credit for taking it to the other team. You phrased it as if they just rolled over and died without even trying.
Go Falcons!sigpic

A 7 footer who can take care of business at the line can be very valuable... Sounds like this season he's learned to score and rebound also.

Speaking of Nate Wells- Jim Les talked about him on this mornings Jim Les Live radio show and how far and how fast he has developed his skills. He said he scouted him last spring and did not feel he was a D1 player, but he saw him again before the Nov. signing period and was surprised how much he had improved. Combined with the fact he was 7'1" and only 17 years old, and he was willing to redshirt if needed and was willing to learn, he felt Bradley would not have a chance to get him if he waited until after this season.

even if he doesnt develop into the best basketball player ever, i'm very confident that he will represent the school and the program well. My neighbor's daughter is one of his youth leaders at church out in iowa and i talked to her for a bit about him last night. She says he is a great kid with his head in the right place.
