  • BU's D-II opponents

Bradley plays 3 Division II opponents this year, and all three are highly ranked in the D-II preseason polls.
    They will be tested early.

    Winona State is ranked #1
    SIU Edwardsville is ranked #4
Northwest Missouri State is ranked #7
(between them these teams won 79 games last year, 26 wins ea avg.)

BU is gonna have their hands full in these games. I think I saw somewhere there was a poll on whether ICC could beat Bradley this year... and people believed they could. No surprise if Bradley loses one or more of these games.

I think it is a credit to the AD, Coach and coaching staff to have the acorns to play solid competition as opposed to the possible roly-polys out there. I think St Mary's Sisters of the Blind still had an open date in case someone like UIUC needed a game.

I disagree. Losing to one of these D-II teams would be catastrophic after coming off of a Sweet 16 year! It would totally set back everything that was accomplished and derail everything that we a building toward.

I also believe that it would hurt in recruiting and public perception. I do not believe we should schedule these games unless we are 100% certain we will win BIG! I'd much rather see us schedule a mediocre D-I team and lose. I know a loss here doesn't hurt our RPI, but I believe the actual loss to our reputation is much greater. Just one man's opinion; I'd be interested to hear what others think.

        B4L, I agree with you.

I meant it more sarcastically that no surprise if Bradley loses one or more of these games since there were some out there in the Message Board world that honestly believed Bradley would lose to ICC.

Mac...I think we will see how ridiculous that argument was when ICC gets going with its schedule.

          Here's why....
On Nov. 20, ICC plays the junior varsity of Olivet Nazarene University. Let me repeat, they will be playing a NAIA school's junior varsity, that means the kids who were essentially "cut" from the NAIA team.

I bet ICC will have its hands full with the ONU JV....let's see.
If they do, then imagine how they would do against a D-I team's varsity??
