Wait so the BEST team ALWAYS wins? This is not even close to being the case.

Is Washington the better team because they beat the Bears? Didn't think so.

Sure teams have bad days, but this is play-offs we are talking about. If you can't bring your A game in the play-offs, maybe you weren't that good in the first place.

I love to see all these people hating on the Bears! And all they keep doing is winning. And with every WIN, it's because they are lucky for one reason or another.

AE, who's your team? And when you answer that question I am sure we will see why you are Hating on the Bears.

Packers vs Bears is a toss up. Bears have better D & home field crowd, GB has better QB and momentum heading in. Bears beat GB by 3 at GB. Pack beat Bears by 7 at Chicago in a meaningless game to Chicago. Bears also played very easy on the D in that game as to not get any injuries. If Cutler limits his turnovers again, then I think DAAAA BEARRRRSSSSSS head to the Super Bowl.

        Jason-

The Bears beat Green Bay in Chicago, not in Green Bay, and Green Bay beat Chicago in Green Bay, not in Chicago. And you're right to admit that it doesn't matter who is better or is worse...LOL. The statistical truth is that Green Bay is the better team heading into this game, but, that doesn't mean Chicago won't win.

And as far as what I said about "taking it to the bank" that Chicago would lose their first playoff game...

That was assuming New Orleans wouldn't be upset at Seattle (not at home like Da Coach ignorantly suggested). Truth is ignorance is what I've come to expect from Bears fans.

So, why argue using reason and logic? The conversation is not worth having if people cannot discuss things using their brain.

I think Green Bay is the better team based upon the whole spectrum of statistics (Point differential, defense/offense statistics, strength of schedule, strength of victory, etc...Actually, one of the only statistics that Chicago is better then Green Bay is in losses. Thus, they got a bye, and are hosting next week.) However, I actually am predicting a Bears victory.

Unlike ignorant sports fans, (Bears fans) I can look objectively at things.

Chicago will force more turnovers than Green Bay's defense.
The worst field in the NFL will play a negative factor somehow for Green Bay.
Mason Crosby will miss the game winning field goal with less than 1-minute to play.

        My prediction:

        CHI 21
        GB 20
Why is it that since the end of the 2006 season it's been a coin toss to know which team will show up?

This Bears thread has been hijacked!

If the Braves, under JL, win the MVC and become a #2 seed in the NCAA, fans would be shortsighted if they didn't give JL & team respect and consideration...

I AM NOT BUYING IT CE! And here's WHY:

You made your prediction about the Bears not winning a play-off game on 12/17. This was before week 15 was even played. No one knew who was IN the play-offs on 12/17 nor did anyone have any idea who would be playing who.

So don't try and back track and make stuff up AFTER the fact.

Be a man, stand by your BANK IT.

If not your just another Packers fan that likes to run his mouth off wth no intergirty WHAT SO EVER!

Not that it matters now, but the Packers did have the tougher schedule simply because they played Atlanta, Philadelphia, New England and the Jets on the road, while the Bears played 3 of them at home and didn't play Atlanta. It boils down though that you have to beat whoever you play and both teams did it enough to make the playoffs. Bears will probably have a tougher schedule next season because this year they made the playoffs.

First of all, you know nothing about me and whether or not I like to "run my mouth off with no INTERGIRTY what so ever!"

Secondly, I did make that prediction assuming several things. One of those things I assumed was that the Bears would not receive a first round bye. That didn't happen because Philly lost to MN.

I figured Chicago would play in the wildcard round to somebody, and I thought they'd lose. Unfortunately for me, they got the upstart Seahawks.

So I'm not trying to back off and make stuff up...just explaining myself, noob.

-They have almost the weakest schedule in the league.
-They have no major injury to a starter.
-They lost both games to the Detroit Lions, save for some terrible game-changing calls by the officials.
-Their "+/-" in points is a joke for a team 5 games over .500.

All that said, the Bears will lose their first playoff game, assuming they do end up winning the division.

                      take it to the bank.
Show me any where that it says anything about getting a bye or playing the NFC West. Not sure why you would make any prediction about the Bears not getting the bye, when there were still 3 games left to be played by everyone except SF and San Diego.

Because all I see is a blanket statement. One in which you were wrong. Because The Bears did indeed win their first play-off game.

Now if you want to back track now and try and save some face by changing around what you orginally said back on Dec 17th, so be it.

Most people would just admit they were wrong and move on.

This is hilarious to me. Whether or not I was wrong about the Bears losing their first playoff game is funny. Obviously they won. People make predictions all the time, and many times, they are wrong. I am not arguing that I was right...that indeed the bears did lose their first playoff game. I am saying something completely different in that I feel they got the best possible matchup there could have been in their first game, and that they got lucky in that.

I started talking about something else. You weren't able to to follow that for some reason.
