Nice article. I personally saw a number of positives in the game, all of which DR hit on -

1. Dodie must be your PG the rest of the year. He has all the intangibles a floor leader needs to have, and he's experienced enough to not get rattled in any situation.

2. Lemon needs to start the rest of the year. He's our most talented young player, and our 2nd best pure scorer behind Warren. For a team that has trouble scoring, you need this guy out there as much as possible. I can live with the bad shots now and again. He's fearless.

3. Egolf being aggressive offensively needs to continue. Had we had that kind of effort from him all year we may not be 4-5.

4. We play very good defense. We have some lapses now and again, but this is the best defensive team fundamentally that JL has had in a while. With the injuries the way they are, they have to be good defensively.

5. I agree with JL - I think they're close to turning the corner.

My other thoughts would be to bring DSE off the bench the rest of the year, and try to find Milos some time. DSE provided great energy last year and ended up being a very valuable player in that role. I think he can excel in it again. I'd go 3-4 deep on the bench, going DSE-Eastman-Thompson-Milos. We struggle to make shots, and Milos can make shots. We may have some depth problems, but we should never see Charron Woods the rest of the year unless it's a blowout.

I said this in another thread - If we get the effort from here on out that we got against Duke, this team should win the next 2 home games and I think 10 league games. I firmly believe that. If we get EIU-type efforts, we'll win 5-6 more games. The first 9 games have been painful, but this season can still be a very redeeming one. I hope they make it happen.

If we get EIU-type efforts, we'll win 5-6 more games. The first 9 games have been painful, but this season can still be a very redeeming one. I hope they make it happen.

Wish this team had played with more effort earlier because they should have 3 more wins, why did it take playing Duke to be willing to give 100%, makes me wonder if some players do not want to win bad enough because effort should be a staple, maybe players will realize that you only get to play so many games a season and it ends very quickly, how do they or he wish to be remembered when they leave BU, a person that came in with a lot of talent but only showed it occasionally, or one that busted his as- off and did everything he could to help his team win.

Yes! Was talking about this very point with a few people I traveled with to Durham. How much different of a conversation are we having if we beat EIU, WCU, and split the TCU/Utah games?
