Here are a couple obscure MVC items-

P'Allen Stinnett is at it again. Stinnett, who played for Creighton the last 3 years and who was kicked off the team last year by Dana Alatman, transferred to Division II school Missouri Western. Through Missouri Western's first 6 games, P'Allen had started all 6 at point guard and was averaging 18.3 points per game (2nd on the team), and 4.7 rebounds. He was also leading the team in steals and assists.

However, he did not accompany the team to Emporia State for their game Saturday night. Missouri Western coach Tom Smith said Stinnett missed practice Thursday and was suspended for the game. His future with the team would be decided Monday.-

The final decision was to allow Stinnett to return to the team after his 1 game suspension-

Stinnett, whose journey ventured to St. Joseph after being suspended indefinitely from Creighton last season, overslept after class and after his delayed arrival, got on the wrong side of Smith during a drill.

???He just was pissed at me that day so he told me to leave,??? Stinnett said. ???I did a drill wrong or something and coach got after me and was like, ???(Forget) it. Take the weekend off.??™???

A few more MVC news bits-
??? Creighton freshman walk-on guard and Southeast Polk grad Kody Ingle will transfer to Grand View at the end of the semester.

??? Former Drake guard Josh Parker is Dayton??™s sixth man and the Flyers??™ second-leading scorer at 9.6 points a game.

??? Evansville coach Marty Simmons lost more than 100 pounds in the offseason.

??? The Chicago Bulls??™ Kyle Korver watched his brother, Kaleb, play for Creighton in a 65-52 loss at Northwestern a week ago. Kyle said this about Bluejays coach Greg McDermott, according to the Omaha World-Herald: ???Even if he wasn??™t the Creighton basketball coach, you??™d still want to hang out with him because he??™s just a cool dude.???

And Creighton freshman Doug McDermott was named the Freshman of the Week in the MVC for the 4th consecutive week. Nobody has ever won the arade 4 weeks in a row before.
Freshman forward averaged 15.0 points and 9.0 rebounds in two games last week while becoming first player in MVC basketball history to be honored in four straight weeks.
