Evansville might be able to win -- 5 min left 2 pt game..

but Creighton loses to Nebraska after leading by 8 at half...Creighton has now lost 3 straight..
Lawson was again 0-5 from 3-pt range -- and has not made a 3-pointer since 5 games ago -- and has only made a 3-pointer in 2 games even tho he attempts them in every game..his season 3-pt pct is 6-24, 25%.
As a team Creighton was 6-33 from 3-pt.

No kidding! I hope the Valley can at least get two teams into the NIT. Otherwise we should just rename the CBI and CIT the "Valley Invitational" because that's where most of the Valley will end up at!

Every Valley team is underachieving right now except Evansville with their win. Maybe Missouri St but they don't have anything approaching a quality win yet either. I really thought Creighton would be better this year.

I read the boards of all the other Valley teams...

traffic on the Bluejay board has nearly dried up entirely....and it's for two reasons...
Many fans are upset with the poor play and just stopped posting, but also it appears a ton of posts are being removed...

In the last four days....only ONE thread has more than a dozen responses, and that's the game thread (Creighton/Nebraska)....we've got more than a dozen threads that are at least as active and even far busier...
So I think the Bluejay fans are bummed...but it's hard to know what they're saying ...

BTW -- the Creighton fan site has an additional "premium message board" for those who want to pay the extra fee....but the mere presence of such a thing, "a premium forum for certain fans", has created a lot of hostility towards the board's administrator and site's originator...and has somewhat divided the fan base, many of whom think having such an "insider" site is offensive to the huge Bluejay fan base......who feel like they are being treated as 2nd class commoners......and yet...
their premium site which was kinda busy a couple months ago has all but dried up like the Evansville site..
The entire premium forum has just four active threads since last week.

I prefer how it's done at Bradleyfans....the largest part of the negative posts and opposing opinions are allowed to be posted as long as they don't get personal or attack other posters, and there's freedom for anyone to post, not just a small, premium few insiders.......

Shaunguth, I know your not a professional sportswriter or anything, but do you think Texas really whipped the Illini? The game went OT and neither team lead by more than 9 points.

I am not an Illini fan, but having watched the game, I think survived might have been a better word.

Agreed. Texas didn't come close to whipping anyone. It was a VERY close game and the teams were very evenly matched that night.

I was only going by margin of victory. Illinois lost by 6, but Bradley lost by 8 and got "whipped". Amazing what two points will do!
