DSE last year was great at playing a simple pick and roll. If you ask me I wish we would simplify our O and play to our strength. Asking these guys to play a pure point is foolish IMO.

I thought that one of the reasons that we recruited Jake was that he was a good three point shooter. I haven't seen that yet. He is a scrappy player though which is a bonus. On the other hand, I think that we need to get Milos some minutes to see what we have and don't have from an offensive standpoint in game time situations. If we are concerned about his defense, we can always go into a zone if he starts to hit threes. This is a perfect time for JL to experiment with things... I haven't seen that yet as well.

I agree.....been thinking that for a couple games now....he cant seem to turn the corner on a defender.

With Sammy and Taylor out, I was for sure thinking Les would try to develop some the players more by giving them more playing time. Time to throw Thompson and Milos in and see if they sink or swim.

Yet Milos doesn't see the floor and Thompson barely plays for a few minutes. It's frustrating watch Les play a walk-on before these guys.

Les will give DSE all the leeway to perform poorly at the point but doesn't let Thompson back in the game?

Les has 3 games left to find a lineup that works well together and to find a scheme that will work with this depleted lineup. IT CAN BE DONE! A good coach will find a way to win even with a depleted lineup. I've seen worse teams than this BU team find a way to have a winning season. Les is running out of time very quickly. He needs to find out which players are "in" and which ones are "out" in the next 3 games.

Who's buying into your "system" Jimmy? If you can't find that answer by MVC play then we will be in the bottom 3 teams in the league. If you find your players and your style then BU CAN finish top 3 in the MVC and have a shot at the NIT. Just git er done.

JL could have the best "system" in the country, but without the best PG in the MVC and probably the best overall player on the roster out for the season, what do you "experts" expect? This is the MVC, a mid-major conference, and most teams in this category can't afford to lose players of this caliber.
What part of illegal don't you understand?

Exactly right Chico. Most Mid-Majors would be crushed if they lost just one of their best players. When it's your 2 top players it becomes an almost insurmountable task. Hopefully, BU can find something that works over the next 3 games so that they can try to capitalize on a weak MVC. I still think a top 3 is possible, though highly unlikely.

IMO, this team is seriously lacking in shooters at this point and Milos needs to see the floor to take some pressure off of Andrew. Even if his defense is subpar, you have to score more than the other team even if you hold them in the 50's or 60's.
                            MK can't shoot much worse than AT's 5 for 17 (before two late hoops) or DD's 5 for 13, or DSE's 1-7...
