I want to add my get well wish for Sammy. He's one of my favorites and has hit many big shots for wins. Since both TB and Sam (my top two favorites on this team) are out for the season, I'm hoping to develop some new favorites, I'm not worried about the AW and DD contributing...they will. But there's an opportunity here for several other players to step up and make a name for themselves, I hope they realize that and take advantage of it and become players that we thought they could.

This is also an opportunity for the coaches to coach and show us what they've got. How are they going to coach through the adversity of losing two of their best players for the season. How will they change the game plan.

I'm not giving up on the season and I don't know when I would give up. Call it being optimistic that several players will step up and surprise us, now is their chance, I'd try to make the most of it if I were them

I have a feeling someone that is currently redshirting and on scholarship won't be returning next year...

          Outside of that two options:
          1. Someone won't come back
          2. SM walks on

Or I guess a "dark" 3rd option: SM unable to come back at all.
We've got plenty of dead weight and failed projects on this roster that could easily be removed if needed to insure that Sammy could come back next year. So, I highly believe that option 1 will be how it plays out publically...after the staff 'strongly suggests' that someone might want to look into playing opportunities elsewhere...

                Yes,most likely scenario.

What? Chances are probably at 99% that he will be granted a medical RS. I'll be glad to put some hard currency behind my words and I'm not a betting man.

Does everyone just automatically assume it gives him a free pass into next season?

What happens if we win 5 games in conference and finish 9th?!

I think it's a bit too early to make that statement.

he can choose to play at any time -- like Jake Eastman did last year -- but would then forfeit the ability to redshirt..

Everyone is forgetting that TB is under medical watch and there is a possibility (I don't know how much) that he won't be able to return next year....

Now I HOPE that is not the case...but it's a possibility.

EDIT: Get well before next season Sammy & TB, we will need both of you!

Agree... If we are announcing that we are shutting SM down for the rest of the year, then I have to believe that BU is 99.99% certain SM will be granted a medical redshirt.
                        Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

More strange things have happened...Not saying he won't get the extra year, but you never know with how the NCAA operates some times. Rest of the team better toughen up, can't afford any more injuries. As an outsider I saw Bradley as a top four Valley team before the loss of TB. Without him I saw Bradley as middle of the pack. Without SM I see Bradley in the lower few teams. Hate to say it as I love when Bradley and ISU compete at the highest level, but I just don't see that this year. Best of luck to SM and TB.

This probably assures Les of another year, too.
That thought has crossed my mind also. Get well Sammy you deserved to go out in style. I've loved the way you play and what you've brought to BU. If Jim had goals, like we've all heard rumor or not,it would be impossible to meet with both Sammy and TB gone for the year. Go Braves

Sure there are things you can control, and things you can't control, but how many of these things could we have controlled? I think it's a fair question.
But how do you blame a congenital heart defect and bad ankles on a strength coach. Maybe a medical trainer with the ankle injury recovery, but don't see the strength coach.

If we were talking pulled muscles or lack of physical training, I could see it. I just think JL is JINXED!

You are correct about Taylor plus a lot of other possibilities , DSE is going to show everyone that he can do a good job at running the point, we need to realize that hi is only a sophomore and will make some mistakes yet his plusses will outweigh his minuses, any chance A.Davis starts playing?
It would be really easy to just give up on this season but this team still has some good players and hopefully the mentallity to overcome these obstacles.
