Where is he playing? How is he doing?

I have tried to track him down with no success, but it does appear he is not playing basketball anywhere.

No, but you could definitely ask about where past players are in a single post. You don't have to make a new one for each player.
This is just the tip of the iceberg...

....reportedly back home with family but even the other players at BU don't know for sure

The sad fact is the EM was doing well academically and I really hope he does not stray to far from that path.

I hope he gets himself straightened out because he could still contribute somewhere on the basketball floor and he seemed to be a good person that has had to deal with a lot of bad things in his life, good luck to him in whatever he chooses to do with the rest of his life and I still hope he gets his confidence back and gets back in college and plays more ball.

For those who did not catch up with where Eddren landed...
he just finished his junior year at Paul Quinn College in Dallas, TX, a very competetive (HBCU) NAIA school.

In his junior season last year Eddren led the entire NATION in assists @ 7.16/game (to go with 10 ppg) and was 2nd team ALL CONFERENCE, also having an assist to turnover ratio of almost 3.
He also achieved Player of the Week honors and led his team to 21 wins..

There is no word if Eddren will return for one more year - as there was rumor he may leave to play pro ball.....

As first mentioned back in July - and only because he's gone NAIA and still has eligibility -
Eddren McCain has now transferred to Texas College (NAIA) and playing this year...
He is averaging 12.0 ppg, 5 assists, 4.3 rebs, and 40% from 3-pt range..
                they are 3-1

Do you think maybe this had something to do with McCain leaving BU-

Of course it was. That was well known and well documented here, and elsewhere 2 1/2 years ago.
In fact, you are the one who started this old thread about it in March, 2010!-

Yes, it happened in March 2010 and was discussed here on BradleyFans...

and as you can tell from the thread - within hours after his arrest McCain was dismissed not just from the team but from the university...
Eddren has some issues in his background but for the most part has never been in this kind of trouble before...

...what's interesting about that arrest is that Eddren was inside of a car when the officers decided to open the car door and arrest the occupants...LINK
Had Eddren decided to fight the charges - he'd have likely had them overturned - but he accepted deferment and thus after a specified period - the charges were actually dropped anyway without even having to go to trial...

never the less - Bradley properly and fairly disciplined Eddren and he was off the team just as should happen at other schools but routinely does NOT...
I don't excuse this kind of conduct nor any illegal behavior, but as far as we know, he has not had further issues.

Man do those bring back some memories. Hard to imagine any coach could be more polarizing than JL was. Regardless of your thoughts on the coaching change, you have to agree the program is better off today than it was 2 years ago.

I think you'd find a fair amount of disagreement - not only among the 4500 or so who were there Saturday but also among the several thousand that would have been there but were not...

I've talked to a fair amount of people who mostly agree with the positive future outlook of the program. The Saturday of thanksgiving is a horrible day for attendance especially for a program that needs the casual fan turnout. You can't get that with a mediocre team playimg a bad team over a hoiday weekend.
