The fact is he could have stayed at Bradley for 5 years and still would have fizzled in the league. By leaving when he did he earned millions of dollars that might not have been there at any other point.
Yep, I agree and if not fizzled out, may of got a serious or received a career ending injury
My points were that POB was some what of a project when he came to BU and he did improve a lot in two years So in my opinion chance's on Bigs as projects have to be made and can work out
    He made the right move

Yeah another ride could open up... but do we want another big with it? We're legitimately short on guards for next season.

Coaches, like everybody else in life, have their preferred approach to things. IMO, JL is not a big player coach and I suspect never will be. He shows no inclination to adjust. JP is great and will make mistakes. Only playing him 9 minutes against EIU is a joke.

Agreed on all The unwillness to change may will be what decides his future The playing small, playing players at positions they don't want to play, are unhappy doing it, is a wreck waiting to happen As they will not give their full effort
Right now its my opinion he has two players that are not happy with the positions they are playing and you can see it You can see it in WE effort, play and attitude In AW, he's scoring but you can see it in on his face and in his actions, that he is not at all happy with guarding and playing down at the 4 WE should be at the 4 with JP at the 5! No reason for not subing/playing MK and AT at the 4 and 5 this early in the season AW should be at the 2 with DD at the 3!
I have avoided saying this but after Wed. nights showing, here it is
The 4 guard system will be the end of any hope for this year and of JL unless he changes

J.P. should be our starting center and Egolf our power forward, Egolf is capable of knocking down the 15 ft. shot and Jordan is better with his back to the basket, you cannot have an inside game by playing 4 guards and 1 6-9 player as it is too hard for a post player to get open when he is being defended inside by 2 players which is why we end up shooting so many outside shots and our guards have trouble when they try and drive to the basket, unless we end up making 10 or more 3 pointers we struggle to score 60 points, put Prosser, Egolf, Warren, Dunson and Maniscalco together and run an offense thru the high post and we will have a lot better chance for success, also do not substitute for a player that has a hot hand(DSE came out after scoring I believe 8 straight points against EIU wed night and was never the same) .

For whatever its worth the commentary during EIU pregame on the radio was suggesting strongly that Les would like to be starting Prosser and Egolf but can't because of foul trouble Will's been having... Meaning that if Will gets in foul trouble all minutes have to go to JP and AT and so he doesn't want to risk "running out of players."

As for me, I'd like to win the game before worrying about running out of players... But I can see some sense behind all that.

Lose three, add two... I think we're short on senior guards, but not guards. I would be more than happy to add MaxB.

                    I agree with that theory,
If we could count on 30 mins from WE, he could play 20 @4, 10
@5 (minor backup to JP and AT) the remaining 4 mins could be MK or 4 guards.

Then Will avoided foul trouble against EIU (entered 2nd half w/ 1 foul, and still had a few to give at the end of the game), and no other big joined him, and we know how it turned out.

I expect them to clean up missed shots and drop the ball in with an easy layup. I expect our ball movement to incorporate the post players rather than have them only set bad screens at the top of the 3 pt line. I expect them to grab some rebounds for us.

Bielfeldt can do all these things, he's the best post player out of Peoria in 25 years. I'm sure Jim would welcome him at BU in a heartbeat, just not sure the feeling is mutual.

Better than Marcus Griffin????? I admit to not seeing Max play, but I find this hard to believe. If this is the case, why aren't the major schools after him
                          Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

Or Sergio? I'm with Ben. I've never seen Max play, but I doubt if he's not being hotly pursued by the big guys that he's clearly better than Marcus Griffin, McClain, Brian Randle, Bill Cole, etc. And those are just the ones that went to U of I!

What you said there in a nutshell is exactly why I believe BU will never get a quality BIG under JL. Anyone who has watched BU since the S16 run has to see that JL under uses that bigs he recruits. You have to imagine that every other coach going up against BU for a 6'10" or bigger recruit is telling them how BU runs a four guard offense & their bigs are used to set picks at the top of the key. In this day & age they probably carry video of BU's offense on their i-Pad to show them. Is this what you want to do for the next four years?

I said best post player, Sergio was a 3 or out-of-position 4. Randle and Cole were also 4's.

And yes, I believe Max is the best post player out of Peoria in years. Now, Marcus may have been a better athlete, but Max has the complete package - he is a banger, he can finish at the rim, he rebounds like a madmen, and can make his FT's (he was 19-20 from the line at the last game of the TOC).

I believe the reason the big schools aren't on him is because he's 6'7 with shoes on and the way PND's offense is setup is he doesn't need to move much. They plant him on the block, feed him the ball, and let him work. A good college coach and some mentoring him help him excel at the next level. Just my opinion...
