Mo brought in alot better players then we've had the last nine years and look what that got him i.e.Parker ,Granger, Tucker,Grigsby etc. Two current NBA'ers and an all star.No question who is the better recruiter and we won't even go into coaching.

Top to bottom it's JL hands-down. I agree with the coaching not being as good in most respects, but to try to act like the guys we have the last decade aren't as good as the 90's is hilarious, especially when you bring Granger into the conversation.
But for the college player that has no chance for the NBA (or even a pro league overseas), it hurts a hell of a lot more because they only have four years (sans redshirt) to really win it all.
I like watching the NBA, I mean I wouldn't watch it if BU or any other Valley team is on.

Sammy is hurt....
Andrew only plays one side of the ball, and really struggles against athletic defenders
dodie is slightly above average.
Everyone else is a role player.
The only way for this team to win is to be outstanding defensively....

But if it was JL 'hands down', why isn't our record better?Onward and Upward!

Nothing good about Bradley's loss?
We built up EIU's confidence. Maybe they win their conference because of it. You get where I'm going....
Somehow we make the tournament too. We're both low seeds but we're higher for how we've played since, both Cinderellas so to speak and pull off a few upsets along the way and meet again. The good thing about the loss, we should know how to beat their complex offense now

1st, we are averaging on 62 ppg/against. I don't think we can do much better than that defensively.
2nd, I do see talent. SM has it. AW has it. WE could, if he were not being played out of position, with his back to the basket. DSE, DD, and WL, all have it as well.
BU needs to do a better job of putting these players in a position to succeed.
Sammy is not healthy. IMO even when healthy, he is not as talented as the other elite PG's here at BU (Les Manuel Ruffin Dye) He is good, just not elite.
The other guys I disagree with. How many shots does egolf have to miss.
And lets say you are right on him...Then we still have no center, which is why he is out of position.

But seriously. How many games in the 90's did you see? I don't think JL is a bad recruiter. I don't think Mo was a bad recruiter....
But to say its "JL" hands down...I say..Count all conference players....Then see where you get. Its way comparable.
AND the top two players since 1993 to wear a BU uniform were Parker and Granger. Thats the reason they are playing for millions of dollars.

Egolf does miss too many shots, but he shouldn't be playing in the paint.
We do not have a center, you are correct. When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.

As far as overall talent is concerned, JL is a guy who likes to score points. Heck, part of the reason he was hired was because we needed to pay more attention to the offensive part of the game (see the transcript of his opening presser). Up until the past couple of seasons, scoring points has never been a problem for JL-coached teams. I don't think his system or his philosophies have really changed, but the players have. That would indicate that the quality of players on the floor has gone down, especially from an offensive skills standpoint.Onward and Upward!

Our centers thus are not talented which is why I made the comment in the first place
