I am with you on this....and that is the worst thing of all.

      But IF...

... we let Coach Les go... and we hire either McClain or (re-hire) Molinari - I'm done with BU hoops.

      DONE!

Seriously...The chance of that happening is 0....is this something you would really be scared of?

Straight trade for Coach Beuscher? (the older one)

No. I'm not scared of that at all.

To think I sit here and say to myself "omg, no - please no - don't fire Les - oh please no - and then please no, don't hire McClain/Molinari - please, please, please NO".

              Fark that.

I'm just saying, if it happens... I'll likely be more disgusted than anything and find something better to waste my time with through the winter months.

Which btw, this season, I'm already working on fantasy baseball - and I HATE basbeall.

Hmmm, interesting considering many here wanted McClain over Les in a heartbeat!

Amazing how things change over time!

I like Les a ton guys but if there was a change, I'd have to believe with what BU has to offer I'd hope we could attract a great up and coming coach that could attract the best recruits possible that understands how today's kids need to be lured.

I do have a problem with acceptance of 2nd tier recruits in hoping we find some diamonds in the rough. Gonzaga, Butler, Memphis, Xavier and a few others may not have rosters of 5 star players but they each have 1 or 2 prized recruits. I always thought that JL would be able to figure out the recruiting and perhaps our facility held him back but right now and here on out I do not want to hear any excuses. If we had the recruits we thought we had we would have won at least one MVC title lately. I'd have to believe JL is on a short leach and he has to understand after the debacle against EIU. I know if I did not deliver my numbers for 2 quarters in a row I would be on a very slippery slope and I'd have zero problems with being let go. Let's face it unless you have delivered a lifetime of greatness it is all about what have you done lately. TB or no TB we should have a player or two that can step it up against an EIU.

Despite what some would have you believe, BU would attract a ton of very capable and qualified candidates. We had capable and qualified candidates in 2002, and we didn't have brand new facilities dedicated to men's basketball at the time. Unfortunately I think the problem would be the people making the hire, not the people applying for the job. I think I am in the majority when I say I would rather just win so we don't have to go through this or have these discussions.

Yes they would attract a lot of good candidates, I wish we were not having this conversation , the coach gets paid a lot of money to win , worried more about who or whom would be in charge of hiring a new coach if Les is not retained.

That's the 2nd time they've clobbered the Panthers this season. Ball State got trounced by Alaska Anchorage...the Cardinals beat EIU by 31.

Our next opponent...who some here claim is a quality opponent...has lost its past 2 games to established powers Mercer and Gardner Webb.

I don't think anyone is questioning who would be interested, but rather, who would be hired...

The way we have played just about everyone is a power to us.
