I am normally a big Sammy fan, but I don't know if I have ever seen a player of his caliber play such a horrible game. By the end of the game I was yelling at the screen for Les to take him out of the game and flinching every time he had the ball. Anyone have an explanation for what we just saw? Hopefully just a very off game.

What is wrong with Sammy?

After reflecting a bit more, it was really just down the stretch that he was that bad. I can understand an off shooting night, especially if his ankles are acting up. Just shocked to see so many sloppy passes in crunch time from a guy who went 170 straight minutes without a turnover last year.
Anyway, hope he's back to normal next game. We definitely need him playing well to win.

Sammy is a warrior and you'll have to tie him down to keep him off the floor. But he just isn't himself, and it's a shame that he's going to be battling this his whole senior year.Onward and Upward!

Even Snell mentioned that this was the worst game of Sammy's career.
He did not score.....
He turned it over constantly......
He could not guard anyone.........
I never heard the CC crowd boo Sammy like tonight.
I hope this is a one-time thing. When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.

I feel bad for him that he is going out this way...struggling to get healthy...surrounded by a roster of players that simply aren't nearly as good as we all thought/hoped they would be...

But, despite having bad ankles, he started slow in most games, but once he gets into the rhythm of the game he gets it going.
Tonight he simply didn't. It would be expecting too much from him to carry the team this year. And he passed into blue too much tonight.
I hate holiday games...especially holiday eve games.

He is a great player for a free throw shooting team, but when you ask him to play defense, and throw him out there for 35 minutes on bad ankles, what did people really expect? Defense has never been a strong point of his. He needs to realize that sometimes you give more to your team by sitting out if you can't perform due to injury than trying to it gut out on the court. Not every game can end in Disney underdog dramatic comeback fashion.
