Dang. I missed this. I might go only to see Chicago Perspectives....because that has to be the same Chicago Perspectives Anthony Davis plays for right?

Yes, Anthony Davis plays for a small high school in the Chicago Public League, Chicago Perspectives.
They played tonight (not in the TOC) and Anthony Davis had 41 points, 21 rebounds, 8 steals, and 3 assists in his first game. Not a bad night. He should be fun to watch. He plays at 5:30 pm Wednesday.

By the way, Max Bieldfeldt's 39 points was a record for the tournament.
Here is a PJ Star rundown of the games-

Max's TOC record of 39 points and his 13 rebounds and 5 blocks are even more impressive considering he played against 6'9" Jay Simpson of Champaign Central. Simpson is regarded by many as the top big man in the state of Illinois in the class of 2012, and is already committed to Purdue. Max helped hold Simpson to just 6 points on 3 baskets, and no free throws, while Max connected on 18 of 19 free throws.

          35 shot attempts

Heck if it takes you 35 shot attempts to get 39 points then thats a problem..Simpson is over rated and will have a tough time getting into the Purdue line up anytime soon.

Like most Bradley fans, I will be at the Bradley games, so if anyone can give us a report from any of today's games, please do so.

Where did you see that Max took 35 shots?

And I have talked to people who have seen Jay Simpson, and there is a reason Purdue went after him and got a commitment this early (he is a class of 2012 and won't play at Purdue for 2 more years). He is a very talented and skilled big man. As I posted above, he is one of the top couple big man in the state of Illinois for the class of 2012.

Here's the right link for the report in Max Bielfeldt's game (via chicagohoops.com)

I also have nothing that says Max took that many shots..and Max also had 5 blocks...
                  Here's Max' AAU coach...

Oh -- and btw -- for anyone who said that Coach Jim Molinari's kid might show some D-I talent if he's playing at Notre Dame with Max Bielfeldt...
David Molinari missed all his shots and was 1-3 from the FT line for a game total of 1 point.....

BTW -- Anthony Davis' 41 points and 20 rebs was against Timothy Christian, a school that has an enrollment of 397 -- roughly equal to Fieldcrest, Dee Mack, El Paso or Petersburg-Porta....
even tho I know Davis' perspectives school is even smaller...

I've never seen Jim's boy play so I can't comment on his play, but this was just the first game of the season and with a new team, so I wouldn't pass judgement yet.

                        Very, very disappointing...
the local media has had almost no coverage of this nationally recognized tournament...

                        Here's just a little more...

                        --Anthony Davis of Chicago Perspectives..
"..His supporting cast, to put it mildly, isn’t great, and with that Davis has to
do everything. He is a one man show out there at times. In recording a
ridiculously impressive triple-double, Davis hit threes off the catch and off the
bounce, scored off right hand and left hand drives, rebounded out of his
area, blocked shots, and made excellent passes. All of that and with two
minutes left and his team down 40, Davis was still diving on the floor after
loose balls. His motor never quits, and his skill keeps getting better."

                        -Max Biefeldt...
"Make no mistake about it, if you are looking for an athletic big guy,
Biefeldt is not that. He is a below the rim scorer, but in a win over O’Fallon he
was very impressive. Biefeldt hit a pair of threes, added another mid-range
jumper, and scored on a variety of crafty post moves over either shoulder.
He is probably closer to 6-foot-7 than 6-foot-8, and doesn’t have great
length which limits him on defense, but at the mid-major level he could
become a pick and pop matchup problem if he can prove to get stronger and
                        become a better rebounder."

They were bigger than our Braves....

Made me wonder what in the heck is going on at that Prep level.
