  • Bradley vs. Eastern Predictions

    Bradley is 4-1

    JD is 3-2

    Eastern: (1-3)

-Lost to South Dakota State, Ball State, and Loyola. Average Score in 3 losses was 54-72

--Their lone victory was a 57-40 win over IU-South Bend.

---(0-2) on the road this season.

----Granger and Laser average 25 ppg between them

---Tyler Laser was #26 on Fox Sports list of the best college shooters http://msn.foxsports.com/collegebask...-season-112010

--Eastern is shooting just 41% from the field, just 27% from 3pt land, and only 65% at the FT line

-Eastern averages, 16 turnovers, 34 rebounds, 5 steals, and 22 fouls per game.

    Bradley: (4-1)

-BU owns victories over A&M, NIU, L. Marymount, and USC by the average score of 64-60

--BU's lone loss came in a 68-74 game to TCU.

---Bradley is 3-0 at home this season

----Warren leads BU with 16ppg, but BU also has 3 other players averaging at least 10/game.

---Bradley is being outrebounded by 6 rebounds/game.

--BU shoots 40% from the field, 31% from 3, and 66% from the FT line.

    -BU is averaging 7 steals, 10 turnovers, 33 rebounds, and 17 fouls/game.

Bottom Line- Eastern is not a good team. They do not do any one thing exceptionally. This is the spot for Bradley to be able to finally get a lead, build on it, and put someone away convincingly.

Bradley has way more firepower and talent.

    BU 74

    Eastern 59

BU by 10. I don't see us being a team that blows anyone out.

This is the game we need to start improving, especially offensively - better shot selection & less TO's.
      DSE will step it up.
BU needs to win by double-dig's.

        68-61 BU

Hope DSE comes off the bench. I'd like to start JE if he can play any semblance of defense. I like having a bench of DSE, WL, JP, and AT.

I personally like optimizing our starting line-up But I would like to see SM, AW, WL, JP, WE. Even just against EIU, get JP and WL some serious PT that will come in very handy come MVC time where the competition steps up a notch. Then have a bench of DD, DSE, JE, MK, AT. Our backup line-up should probably hold their own against EIU, though it's never that simple.

72-61 BU. Break 70 for the first time this year. JP get 6 points and 10 boards

Guys, though I see the reasoning behind playing big to prep for the Valley, I just don't see it happening until it's necessary with Coach Les.
I think JP merits more minutes, along with WL.

                I am going to say

                BU 74
                EIU 62

I would like to see us put together a more complete game. Build a lead and maintain it throughout the game.

We are 4-1 so this being our 6th game against a lower level opponent it is time to make a statement as far as yes we can play well and blow out teams, especially at home:
                  BU 81
                  EIU 59

                    BU 81
                    EIU 62

This is a good game for the player's to dominate both ends of the floor. This should be the easiest game left for them this year to dominate. I expect BU to have their best game of the season so far and build some confidence going into the rest of the non-conference games. Hopefully JL can give the guys coming off the bench more pt time this game and have no one having to play 30 minutes. I'd like to see Mk,JE and AT with 15 minutes each and gain some needed floor experience.

                          My prediction is "just win"!

Seriously though, this win will be by are biggest margin of the year, but not by much.

This is EIU were talkin about here, 1 of the worst teams in Division 1. If BU doesn't win by at least 15-20 points, then it'll be a downer of a night.
