I thought this was released on the BU Website because I remember reading about it online. I'll try to find a link...

This is definitely a nice get for commencement (mid-year commencement no less). Not only is he a Bradley grad, but he also does PBP for the Dodgers and for many years worked over at ESPN.

One pet peeve I have is when folks say that you are a "Sports Com major" or an "Electronic Media" major. Uh, you don't major in your concentration. No matter if you are Sports COM or Journalism or whatever, you are still a "Communications" major.

I don't go around correcting folks about it, but I in my head and just go about my business.

Ummm... I regularly say I was an Industrial Engineering major. I think it's fine to say that's your major. Major is weird term anyway.

It's all a matter of semantics. I can see the other side of it though, it's even goofier to say, "I am a COM major with a concentration in Electronic Media."

Like I said, I just roll my eyes and just go about my business. I just threw that out there, and now I've said my peace on the matter.

I didn't see it on the BU web site and couldn't find any media mention...
but just thought I'd get the word out -- be nice if Danielle Hatch can get an interview with Charlie
and see if he still pulls for BU or is he one of those Red Sox zombies on ESPN

Or at least make sure he looks or associates with BU at all. Which is more than we can ask of some alum apparently.
