  • Quote from Marcus Simmons

While I think it was a foul, it wouldn't be hard to think it wasn't a foul if I was a USC fan. Pretty classy quote from Simmons' showing a lot of maturity.

"I felt like I didn't get him, but the referee made the call and I have to respect that call."

Haha, they get a BS foul, then a technical for no real reason and are blaming the basketball gods??? I'm not saying we were clearly the better team. But we did what we needed to and overcame 4 made FT's that USC did not deserve.

You gotta stop and think for a minute had it been reversed......

Only seconds earlier we were complaining about AT's foul AND the late T.

While I don't dispute the foul fans ALWAYS say that the refs shouldn't decide the game....especially late.

That argument usually comes down to what side you were on.....

Again...had it been reversed almost ALL of us would be up in arms.

Great point and as far as refs deciding the game at the end we would all complain if a foul had been committed and it wasn't called. Yes refs make mistakes and I can ride a ref as good as anyone but one of the best lessons I had was being asked to ref a practice game-(thank goodness it was only practice because fans would have killed me-LOL) and what an eye opener-the game is even faster when you are on the floor trying to make calls and believe me you see things (or at least you think you did) and react accordingly.
Also, while coaching, I have even had refs admit they made a mistake because they thought they seen a foul or travel or whatever and respond accordingly and realized they were wrong.
Thank goodness they called this one the way they did.

I think in the end it worked out fair, think of the iffy foul at the end as a make up call for the BS technical on Bradley's bench.

You could be right in that same official made both calls.
