Rider is kicking TCU's butt --
Rider has an 18 pt lead with 4 min to go ...
Rider could end up being decalred the winner of this tourney!!

      Here's yet another odd result..
      Campbell beat Auburn 61-54
Auburn isn't very good -- they fall to 0-3 against a weak schedule...
      (NC-ASHEVILLE, SAMFORD, CAMPBELL)
..are their fans happy with their hire??

Ouch! Those teams don't even stack up to Loyola-Marymount, Detroit or even Jackson St., all low to mid-majors favored to win or challange for the top in their respective conferences.

Pretty awful for a so-called BCS team!

Here are some intriguing results from yesterday...

Drake fans won't want to hear this, but Josh Parker -- who left Drake and transferred to Dayton (where he'll play next year with SIU-transfer Kevin Dillard) had a career game in Dayton's win over Ole Miss.
Parker had 18 pts/5 rebs but predicted A-10 Freshman of the Year Juwan Staten continues to struggle and is just 9-31 on the season, scoring 6 ppg and turned the ball over 5 times yesterday.

ex-BU recruit Jarod Oldham is playing a few minutes per game for Buffalo -- and had 2 pts yesterday in Buffalo's win over Towson, where another ex-BU recruit Cephas Oglesby isn't playing due to injury.

Iowa freshman Melsahn Basabe was scoring 34 ppg and grabbing 23 rpg in the Iowa summer leagues, causing everyone to say he was going to be a stud in the Big Ten..
So he's started and was playing big minutes in each of Iowa's first two games...
but he also wasn't producing -- so his minutes were cut way, way back --
yesterday --Basabe was scoreless in only 11 minutes, but Iowa WON -- beating Alabama -- and Basabe's averages drop to 5ppg, 6 rpg.
With Cully Payne 5 pts/1 asst and Matt Gatens going 0-4 -- surely you would have figured Iowa to lose -- but just possibly Alabama is worse than the bottom of the Big Ten!

ex-BU recruit Ben Brust, who chose Wisconsin, got playing time in their exhibition & his first two games but simply didn't produce (2pts, 1 reb, 0 asst in his two games) and was benched and did not play at all yesterday in Wisky's loss at UNLV.

Arizona State beat UAB...what I find interesting is that one-time 5-STAR, 7-ft center Beas Hamga cannot even get off the UAB bench, and unfortunately neither Corey Hawkins nor Brandon Dunson have gotten to play yet!!

UIC loses to Charleston - the Flames only have two guys who can hit the rim!

WIU has a good news/bad news day...
the bad news, they lose their 2nd in a row dropping a 64-55 decision to Wyoming...
the good news, is that now they spend the next five days in Cancun facing Morgan State & either North Florida/Prairie View A&M (two very winnabe games) ...

A juco should be able to beat a high school team easily.
