We absolutely do NOT win this game without Sammy...

I applaud him and his effort because as everyone can tell he's nowhere near 100%...

If everyone could play with that kind of effort...

Now, how about playing Egolf and Prosser together some more, AT and MK less, and get Walt some more minutes at the point...he may have taken a couple ill advised shots but I was still impressed again..

Let's go get em tomorrow night!

MK just looks lost out there once JE is healthy I don't expect to see him unless it's a 20 pt difference in score.

I'm not passing any judgement on this team until conference starts. You spend your whole summer building an offense around TB who's your most versatile and irreplaceable player. The day before your first game he's done for the year and your back at square one. JL is still tweaking things and guys are still trying to figure out where they fit into the system.

I thought the defense outside of rebounding looked good. We had good on ball pressure and our bigs played good on D in the second half.

Great win for BU....I was actually very happy with the game.

I think WLJ needs to get way more PT than he got tonight.

I love that Jimmy is using 8-10 bodies a night. Very smart, especially with 5 games coming so quickly.

I think we struggled early because they were hitting 3's and we were not.

I would like to see WLJ, AW, JP, WE, and either SM or DSE get the bulk of the minutes. I think we play best with them on the floor, so far.

        Excited about tomorrow night!

Any update on Eastman ? Thought the ankle would have healed enough to see him some tonight.

Some positives and lots of negatives for this game.

+ The 19-2 run in the second half. That's what won the game, plain and simple. Broke their zone down a little bit and really played some great defense during that 5 minute stretch.

+ Walt Lemon Jr. is fast. Really fast. And he plays with some serious poise.

+ Prosser had some solid minutes. About all you can ask from a freshman.

+ Don't know what the deal was on Egolf, but when he came in during the second half, he played with some fire and intensity. Picked up a few fouls, but I loved his aggressiveness.

+ Sam looked wayyyyyy healthier. Still not 100%, but it makes a huge difference when he's healthy. I liked the look of our lineup when we played him as a 2-guard.

+ Warren can shoot, but I liked seeing him drive to the bucket a few times. Do that more.

            - Milos Knezevic played 3 minutes and picked up 3 fouls. Unacceptable.

            - Anthony Thompson was virtually invisible. He seems to lack intensity and doesn't like to bang for boards.

            - Outrebounded 41-29. By Northern Illinois. I guess that's what you get with a 4-guard lineup, but there wasn't much of a choice in the first half I suppose with Egolf out. And then again, their rebounders consisted of 6'6" Rucker, and 6'7" Toler who literally can't jump.

            - Silas picked up his 3rd foul early in the 2nd half... and yet we did nothing to provoke a 4th foul until the final minutes.

            - Had a chance to put the game away in the remaining minutes, and yet we didn't. It should not have been this close. After we took an 8 point lead with 3 to go, I figured a 10 point win was a safe bet. False

            - We shot 50% from the free throw line.

That's what I can think of off the top of my head. Xavier Silas is pretty good, and a couple of NIU's freshmen look promising (Rucker, Jones). Where was Tyler Storm?
This is just the tip of the iceberg...

Watching the game online from the East Coast. I don't think it is possible for the fans and students to look any less interested in a basketball game than they did tonight. Seriously, that was shocking.

Big improvement over the Texas A&M Kingsville game.

I really like the way Walt plays.

Sam Maniscalco got us going when we needed it.

If you didn't watch the Detroit vs Syracuse game, first 1/2 played out prior to our game so I had to leave it for ours, go back and watch it on ESPN3, use the Replay button, Detroit is good team.

JP, AT and WE played good. We won it, the whole team had a good game!

2-0 works, let's make it 3-0 tomorrow night!

I don't think that was the case. My problem was the vast numbers of empty seats in the student section outside of the Red Sea. Those numbers have to improve. Winning will help, but BU needs fans to help them win. That's the problem here.

At this early in the season, I'm happy with the W'.....Loyola scares me with a pretty good O'.......we have to shoot FT's better or we will lose a lot of close games!

No it was pretty much everyone in the place. It would cut away to fans around the arena, and 90% of the time it was people just sitting there looking like they couldn't wait to leave.

Couple things before I rewatch the Game.

Nice effort by BU not to quit..gutty come from behind win...nice to see Sam get going, good offensive effort by Andrew, nice hustle by Walt..and Silas is a heck of a player.

Refs were bad...just bad...bad game management..bad calls both ways...missed fouls all over the place...just don't understand how they can be that poor.

We (BU) have got to at least try to have some kind of post game. We didn't get a post touch/block pass to a big until the 13 minute mark of the 2nd half when Will hit that little turn around...that is just umfathomable..hard to believe really.

No excuse whatsoever to be outrebounded by that team...but Its hard to outreboud a team playing 4 guards like we do....its also very tough for 1 of our guards to defend a big in the post...no matter how well you defend them..if the big is worth anything at all...he's gonna at least catch and get a 5 foot or less shot or a foul..there is only so much 6'3" can do with somebody 6'7" or bigger.

                            1 more thing....

                            The Band......LET THEM PLAY.

During one timeout they were trying to play but were being drowned out by the Yin Yang Twins blaring on the Speakers.....Really??
