Of COURSE a team can improve and I hope the do...but I'm making MY assesment on what actually went on and I simply didn't like what I saw last nite....should I lie? Should I not say anything at all....I thought thats what these boards were for....opinions. Should we ALL say the same thing....does everyone going to the same movie have to leave feeling the same way about the show?

For the record I haven't missed a home game since 1986.....seen some good teams and BAD teams but supported EVERY team with my last breath. Traveled coast to coast to support those good AND bad teams. So no I'm not staying home.

I'm going to call em like I see em. If thats upsetting to you feel free to skip over whatever I have to say. And if you want me to simply feel how you do after a game that ain't going to happen either. If you want to simply debate why YOU feel different I'll be happy to do that but if you want to make it about me have a good day but no thanks.

    I don't like what I saw...you did..... don't understand why is that a problem?
Dogs, you're right that we each can have an opinion and I am not saying they are going to be a great team but I did see a team that played as a team and I, for one, feel like I received my money's worth.
So no offense to you but I sure wouldn't write off a season based on one game. Schucks if we based everything on one game all of you Cub fans would be in the world series. LOL (don't take that to serious please)

I always get my moneys worth....and thank you I never take this stuff OR myself too seriously.

What gets me though is we have fans predicting 23,24,25 wins based on last year and how we now have JP and AT another year older and the guys are bigger....and new coaches, etc (which is fine) but when I simply say I don't see more then X amount of wins after actually seeing them play "its to early to predict".

SURE they can improve.....and that will be GREAT IF they do. But I'm going game to game and after 5-6 games it may go up it may go down (wins) but my HONEST opinion from that game is I didn't see alot more then I saw last year and now we have NO TB....and an ailing SM....and that team was 16-15. We also got nothing from the guy that will get more minutes now that TB is down and our "project" remains a "project".

I did see some positives....WL should help, Dodie looked great.....I can't believe JP will be that bad all year and a healthy JE will help.

OK, we WON and glad for that Was glad to see Sammy start and play Was happy to see DD bring his leadership with some fire! Enjoyed Lemons and DSE drives to the hoop. Liked the attitude of MK and will like him more when the shooting kicks in! He needs to benn at the knees and not play so straight up, (is he flat footed?). Team played unselfishly!
Did not like the same old, same old, 1 Big, playing 20' away from the basket and setting screens for 4 guards who could not make a 3! Only different thing is WE is now #54 but with JP, it looks like SS for WE, WE for SS and throw Cowens in there two Did not like moving your best shooter (AW) in to help with the guarding and rebounding and taking touchs away from him This team's guards we played, are not much better than what you find on some high school teams and their bigs were even worst I like Lemon and DSE but if anyone thinks that they are going to drive to the hoop with the success they did Friday against the teams we will have to play the rest of the year, with a lot bigger, better guards and bigs, have some more Kool Aid If we are playing 4 guards this year again, witch has poven to be medicro at best for us each year, it will be a long one! For us to play 4 guards and be successful, each player must shoot at a evey high % and we will have to shoot above 40% from the 3 every game and shoot a lot of 3's as a team each night to compete!
This team will have to be lead by its senior's and play two bigs with them to be successful! We have the players to rotate, keeping fresh boby's and legs at all positions! Even without TB, we have 4 (AT, WG, JP, MK) down low and 6 (SM, DSE, AW, DD, WL, JE) at the guards! We have to play 2 bigs and 3 guards or it will be a long one Just got to go through some pain with the bigs for a while and give them a chance! JP will improve fast, MK's attitude is good and plays better D, WE's game would be much better playing with another big and AT needs to play 10 to 12 a game! Our starting lineup, the three seniors and WE with JP My Opinion
So, we are 1-0 and 15 games from making Dog eat crow
