#3 It happened early. If this occurred during the tourney or right before, it would be devastating.

It could really kill this year, but I'm not high on the team for this year anyway. Hopefully TB can get a medical redshirt and play another year. We had SS for 6 years; I can't imagine why this wouldn't qualify for TB.

It's just college basketball. It doesn't really matter.
AMEN! It is only a sport nothing compared to life and death.

Well, JL IS the unluckiest coach in NCAA Div I BB history......

Perhaps there is someone out there who is luckier?

Lovers, please don't take this too seriously!

Romar, you took this waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too seriously.

I am the same poster who suggested BU needed to sacrifice something to the memory of Danny Granger to lift the curse that has befallen on BU since he walked out on us.

And yes, in fact, I did find my current wife at a funeral! How did you know? I pitched the idea to Hollywood as a matter of fact, "Funeral Crashers", with Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson......

UPDATE: Bring ROMAR's Post Back....No offense taken! Its just a Forum.....

Perhaps he is, but despite all the injuries over the past few years, his teams have finished above .500 for five consecutive years. They could have folded up the tent many times, but they have stayed respectable during this period of time. And yes, they could have won more of those close games they lost last year, but they were still very competitive and stayed within the upper half of the Valley all these years.

I would call that good luck in my book!

Well then Bravesfan, I hope you remain very happy if we get more of the "good luck" you have observed over the past several years on the Hilltop.

I just need to reset my bar. Overcoming injuries to finish 5th in a 10 team conference, finishing above 0.500, and being competitive/respectable is now good enough.

Anyone who tries to assign responsibility to JL or anyone for the string of injuries is ignorant.

And the point about health is irrelevant. EVERYONE wants TB to be healthy now and lead a full life. This is just stating the obvious - nobody is going to take the opposite point of view.

You honestly think we'll be better next year without Warren, Maniscalco and Dodie?

Jeeze ... I'd rather have the perception that some have that everything is rosy and we're going to win the conference title every year than an attitude like that.

And the point about TB's health is irrelevant. EVERYONE wants TB to be healthy now and for the rest of his life. Don't tell me that's a "positive" here.
I didn't think this team would be very good at the start of the season. I'm not sure that the team will be significantly worse next year than this year. In 2 years the team could be much better.

I have some opinions that are not widely shared on this board particularly about some players and the coaching staff. This doesn't need to be repeated at this time, and I'm hopefully wrong.

Overall TB being out is bad for the team, but it's just basketball. It doesn't matter. Calm the heck down!

All I said is he is the unluckiest coach on the planet and that perhaps may be there are other luckier coaches on the planet who could help BU reach the promised land.

I'll take lucky over good anytime, since lucky can always get better.

If there isn't anyone luckier, so be it. JL is it.

Don't get too serious on me, BNC....

No way are any of the injuries the coaches fault, just wish he had recruited at least 1 6-6 or 6-7 wing player that could at least fill in in case of injury.

                      You create your own luck.

The coaches, the fans, hell, people who have never watched a basketball game, know injuries are going to happen.

It is on the staff to use the 13 spots to make themselves impervious to 1 or 2.

Its a different sport, but the Minnesota Twins hold themselves together with scotch tape and paperclips every summer and still come out of it (nearly) every year for the playoffs.

If "luck" were random why do some places seem to always be unlucky while others are always the opposite?

Do we really need a Math 105 course on this message board? If everyone had the same amount of luck, it wouldn't be random.

English 101 would be helpful as well. Your, you're, there, their, and they're are not interchangeable.

"JL are not respunsible foor the string of injunrys...." Well done, sir.
