    My lineup:
    DSE
    AW
    DD
    JP
    TB
Will is good enough to start but I think you need to send a message to him that he does not start because of the dumb fouls that he commits, Taylor starts if he has been practicing all week, W.L. gets at least 15 minutes, J.E. gets 15 ,like to see A.D. get at least 5 minutes and the other 2 only get in when the game has been decided and hopefully if they do their effort will be much better.

There is still a possibility and a decent one from what I have heard that Sammy may not be ready til the Valley opener if at all this season

I would have to bet that AD is a redshirt.

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

There are all kinds of medical guesses going around...but another player on the team said that Sammy is going to play tomorrow night...so we'll see...

Why red-shirt him when you have a 7-0 player that will red-shirt next season plus he looks like he could help more then A.T. can.

The redshirt is looking long term, if he can't help much now, why would we waste a season fo eligibility? and the fact we have a guy coming in next year and redshirting doesn't really affect AD. I see nothing wrong having 3 years in a row where we have 6'8"+ redshirt seniors (and there are 2 next year).

The only thing that would be disruptive about playing that lineup is that it would completely disrupt any chance that we have at winning basketball games.

We'd have more blocked shots than the other team and that would be about it.

Do you want Egolf or Thompson chasing a guard around the perimeter on the defensive end?...or we could play zone and watch teams swing the ball around and shoot wide open 3s all day against us...Either way, it would be a disaster.

To win games we need to score on the offensive end and we need to be able to defend the lineups that the other team puts out there...putting Egolf, Prosser, and Sticks on the floor at the same time insures that we will have absolutely no chance of doing either of those things very well...no thanks.
Be careful, you need to calm down. (I apparently made the same mistake )

I think this point is valid. As much as we all would love a towering line-up, there are major disadvantages. I look at Illinois who starts 7'1, 6'10, 6'9 and am convinced that they are the slowest team I have ever watched. They usually sub one of the bigs out in the first 2 minutes because it is extremely rare to find a Kevin Durant prototype who is 6'10, but has the quickness to guard a 2 or a 3.

I love the idea of a taller lineup, but I think it is more important to get the best players on the floor, and with AW, TB, DSE, and DD being #1-4 (assuming SM is injured), I can't imagine going big with TB at the 3 for more than a few minutes.

Sticks will be lucky to see the floor much he still has a long way to go.

Agreed. He seems to work but just not get it (though I haven't heard much on his work ethic either way since freshman year). Brandon Heemskerk type of guy. The size was there, but the talent didn't materalize, doesn't make them bad guys though.

Also see what happened to JP from last year to this year. I haven't seen enough of AD, but he appears to be a similar player to JP.

Agree. Redshirting AD also diversifies our scholarship grid and recruiting process by allowing us to not have JP and AD in the same class.

Agreed Also agree with real fan about AT I think there's no way he plays this year and red shirts I think this kid can be one of the best big men BU has ever had He just seems to have some tools and foot work to go along with his height that most of our other 7'ers did not have when they came to BU I like that he is not just bones but at 220 lbs. already Also that he is from Oklahoma and has square jaws

I'd rather see JP come off the bench, especially early in the season.

Count me in too on this thought too guys! No NBA team starts 3 players who are strictly post players, much less a college team in the Valley. A small forward and 2 posts would be fine, but 3 posts? That would not work. And that's if AT was good enough to start anyway. WE at the 3 would be a disaster: he cannot dribble, shoot, nor is he quick enough on defense to be a 3. He is a post player and that's where he should stay IMO.

It's one thing to go big, but you can go too big also.

The problem I have red-shirting Andrew is if Will and Jordan get into foul trouble we need a decent backup and from what I have seen Andrew is much better then the other choice and has better skills which says a lot about the other player in his work ethic.
