And it was loud. I loved when Vroman basically just smiled and went along with the Red Sea chanting "Hey" and then one of them (Warren) made a three.
I could not go tonight. Did Bradley announce the attendance? Curious to hear the number because watching the highlights on TV it sure looked like many seats were open. I saw big blocks open and rows with no one in them.
Any guesses as to how many students went compared to a game at the civic center? With the students getting in for free or paying a buck it should have led to a good turnout.

100 students out of 6,000 possible, that means 99% (give or take) did not bother to arrive.
Ugh.

Look, as a student I don't want to hear Jimmy's same old BS. I want to hear him step up and take the blame. I want to hear about win's and we can't even beat a D II, and it shouldn't matter if we are missing 2 players. Aren't we supposed to have superior talent overall? Defense has never been a priority and it doesn't look like anything has changed, too many players worry about what their stats look like and that begins with some of senior "leaders". For anyone to try to make this into anything more than a bad game is delusional. This is more of the same, we will likely beat Wichita in one of the games and lose to one of the play in teams as we always do, nothing ever changes...

It was like a funeral once the buzzer sounded. All that was missing was the band playing "Taps."

I know this will upset most but maybe Les' system isn't as good as he thinks it is not just the players buying in and maybe just maybe it is time to start thinking about a whole new system that may actually work towards those promises Les made when he was hired on. Does anyone think (I know its negative) that if they are not atleast 500 by the start of the valley season we may have an interim coach? Thoughts? Oh by the way before this game I was predicting 21 wins with only 2 losses out of conference and a 3rd place MVC finish and winning the Valley tournament.Bleed Red

Clearly we see that we have work to do -- but I also will be there to cheer them on..

Originally posted by theBUer View PostTo me, I do not think Bradley makes it a big deal to sell the athletics teams. I realize BU's mission is education first, but there is more to a school than just the books, or in this case, Greek life.

I drove 2.5 hours to watch a pathetic display of basketball by BU. Yay.
Negatives:
-Braves defense gave up 86 pts. to a D-II school
-Rebounding seems to still be an issue. Even Prosser seemed to have difficulty getting rebounds despite his size.
-I really wonder what the 2nd half foul differential was. Quincy had 9 fouls and we must have had 20? Some of the calls were absolutely ridiculous. As it progressed, it clearly frustrated the players and probably caused some issues towards the end.
-Walt's act of frustration was childish and disappointing. I hope he can mature and learn to deal with the situation better. I hate to lose, but this is not how BU should be represented.
Positives:
-Walt Lemon looks to have a lot of potential. He can't shoot from outside well (or maybe in-game well) but he seems to be one of our quickest if not the quickest player with good ball control. Plays awesome defense.
-Nice to see Egolf and Prosser in the line-up at the same time. Hoping it's more than a necessity caused by Taylor Brown being out.
-Good to have Dodie back. Played well I thought.
Overall, very disappointing start to the season.
