And it doesn't end there. Bradley is playing another D-II team.

I could see that since it's against Texas A&M South Padre McAllen Tip-o-Texas or whatever that school is...but then again, could they really tolerate 2cataclysmic losses in a row??? I guess we'll find out

And it was loud. I loved when Vroman basically just smiled and went along with the Red Sea chanting "Hey" and then one of them (Warren) made a three.

I could not go tonight. Did Bradley announce the attendance? Curious to hear the number because watching the highlights on TV it sure looked like many seats were open. I saw big blocks open and rows with no one in them.

Any guesses as to how many students went compared to a game at the civic center? With the students getting in for free or paying a buck it should have led to a good turnout.

I'd guess attendance may have hit around 3000 but don't know for sure. Students, in their section, 100 tops?

100 students out of 6,000 possible, that means 99% (give or take) did not bother to arrive.

            Ugh.

Look, as a student I don't want to hear Jimmy's same old BS. I want to hear him step up and take the blame. I want to hear about win's and we can't even beat a D II, and it shouldn't matter if we are missing 2 players. Aren't we supposed to have superior talent overall? Defense has never been a priority and it doesn't look like anything has changed, too many players worry about what their stats look like and that begins with some of senior "leaders". For anyone to try to make this into anything more than a bad game is delusional. This is more of the same, we will likely beat Wichita in one of the games and lose to one of the play in teams as we always do, nothing ever changes...

Even worse, there was a steady stream of people arriving literally until halftime.

And the last ten minutes there was a steady stream of people leaving.

I noticed that too. The seats at least filled up somewhat towards halftime, and then about a few minutes before it was over folks started to leave.

It was like a funeral once the buzzer sounded. All that was missing was the band playing "Taps."

I know this will upset most but maybe Les' system isn't as good as he thinks it is not just the players buying in and maybe just maybe it is time to start thinking about a whole new system that may actually work towards those promises Les made when he was hired on. Does anyone think (I know its negative) that if they are not atleast 500 by the start of the valley season we may have an interim coach? Thoughts? Oh by the way before this game I was predicting 21 wins with only 2 losses out of conference and a 3rd place MVC finish and winning the Valley tournament.

Thanks -- I know we played bad and had a bad loss -- nice that we have fans to point that out because I suppose the players wouldn't have known otherwise..
Clearly we see that we have work to do -- but I also will be there to cheer them on..

We all know this and will be there to cheer them on I will be at every game when I don't have to work my 2nd shift job and while I am working I will be listening to them on the radio. I have my season tickets am setting up my arch madness weekend and saving vaca days for a possible NCAA bid. With all of this I say I am supporting OUR Bradley Braves and I know several others are but with how this team has preformed this last decaded sans 1 year a lot of people are getting fed up with mediocraty and are ready to win some meaningful games all year long with the thought that we can win the Valley instead of it being some pike dream like it has felt lately! I so badly wanna do like 06 and leave work at 4am and drive 8 straight hours order my tickets on the way and watch Bradley win some games in a meaningful tournament in March! I have supported Les more than anyone of the group of BU fans that i'm in but this has got me turning more and more to thinking about what it would be like to have some change at the top. I just don't want to go through all the turnover of players that happens when you change a coach. Honestly we have talent they are just in need of some better direction and not just in basketball but in life. One of the things that has upset me most is that the players we are recruiting that come to Bradley are leaving after a year or two before they get their chance to shine. What is the main reason for all the defections is it the school is it the coach are they home sick it would be nice to know the truth. For now I am done complaining but I have keep fairly quiet on here since I 1st found this site a couple of years ago I read almost every post on here mvcfans valleytalk (when it was around) pjstar and all the valley teams sites (non pay) I will prob be quietly trolling after this again but I would appriciate some response because I would like to know what people think if you don't wanna say it publicly just pm me peace and GO BU GO GO BU

I thought that the student attendance last night was much better than the scrimmage.

BUer, we are very much in agreement here. For some strange reason, the BU Athletic Department practically ignores marketing the team to the students. Quite frankly it shocks me! I understand that the department has to place an emphasis on marketing the team to the community and donors, but ignoring a future fan base is just wrong!

I understand that this is the first year for the arena and that there will be a learning curve as to how to handle ticket sales etc, but the walk-up lines to the ticket windows were dreadfully long. Thinking back as to how I would have handled this situation during my college years, if I went to the arena last night and encountered that type of delay, I would have gone to plan B and hit the bars on Farmington road.

I drove 2.5 hours to watch a pathetic display of basketball by BU. Yay.

                              Negatives:
-Braves defense gave up 86 pts. to a D-II school
-Rebounding seems to still be an issue. Even Prosser seemed to have difficulty getting rebounds despite his size.
-I really wonder what the 2nd half foul differential was. Quincy had 9 fouls and we must have had 20? Some of the calls were absolutely ridiculous. As it progressed, it clearly frustrated the players and probably caused some issues towards the end.
-Walt's act of frustration was childish and disappointing. I hope he can mature and learn to deal with the situation better. I hate to lose, but this is not how BU should be represented.

                              Positives:
-Walt Lemon looks to have a lot of potential. He can't shoot from outside well (or maybe in-game well) but he seems to be one of our quickest if not the quickest player with good ball control. Plays awesome defense.
-Nice to see Egolf and Prosser in the line-up at the same time. Hoping it's more than a necessity caused by Taylor Brown being out.
-Good to have Dodie back. Played well I thought.

Overall, very disappointing start to the season.

I'm positive that everyone is frustrated. I'm positive that some people enjoy posting after a loss much more than after a win. I'm positive that DA tried hard during the radio broadcast.
