  • Danny Granger greatest BU Player ever?

Is it safe to say that Danny Granger is the greatest player ever to play for the braves? Regardless of wether or not he finished there? His accomplishments really make a legit case.

Hersey Hawkins is the best IMO!

Then probably, if you consider him "played under JL."

I would take Hawk, Chet Walker and Anthony Parker over Granger.

He is ahead of AP needs more time to be ahead of Hawk and Chet but he is not a Brave he is a Lobo.
                  Can we start winning soon?

I have no idea why I'm getting into this, but I'm bored watching election coverage right now...

Hawk played 13 NBA seasons, averaging 14.7 points per game and shooting nearly 40% from 3pt land. He was also one of the league's most accurate free throw shooters. He played in one All-Star game, and missed just seven games in his first 11 seasons.

Chet the Jet also played 13 NBA seasons, averaging 18.2 points per game and 7.1 rebounds per game. A 7-time All-Star, Chet played in the playoffs in all 13 of his NBA seasons. Chet missed just 34 games in 13 years, less than three per year on average. He was a member of the 1966-67 NBA Champion 76ers, when he averaged almost 22 points per game in the playoffs.

Danny Granger has played five NBA seasons, averaging 16.4 points per game and shooting nearly 40% from 3pt land. He is an excellent free throw shooter and a good rebounder for a perimeter player. He has trouble staying on the court, as evidenced by missing 35 games in the past two seasons.

I'm not ready to crown Granger as the best NBA player to have played at BU -- he has had an excellent start to his NBA career, but I'd still take Chet and Hawk before him.

No way, he could have been had he stayed but Chet Walker was the best followed by Hersey, Anthony Parker and a lot more including Squeaky as they led BU to championships and did not defect , When I saw Danny at BU I thought he was one of the best college players I had seen in awhile and was disappointed when he left but will never call him a Brave because when the going got tough he became gone.
I wish him well and hold no grudges but he is not a BU Brave do to his own circumstances.

I wish Danny would have stayed and finished his career at Bradley. I do think he would be in the conversation of the best players from Bradley, but Hawk was pretty good, as was Chet Walker, and they did it over a longer career.

I love the timing. And I love the entrapment of posters setting up parameters to base their posts on. Marcel De Souza didn't finish at Bradley either. But I honestly don't care. Once players go pro - they're dead to me. I just don't really care. I love college hoops and I love Bradley. But isn't it great to chat about one of the best to pass thru the Hilltop that never finished and left under Les... hmmmmm, the negative spin on Les. Yea - NOW is a GREAT time to talk about that!

Danny -- you're good, and the fans loved you...but you know you'll never get the consideration now that you would have if you had stayed at BU..
